I am writing with an urgent plea on behalf of a family in dire need of support. The mother and father are currently facing extreme financial hardship and have been unable to find work for some time. Due to their inability to pay their electricity bill, their power and water has been disconnected for over a week now, causing immense distress for the family. This situation is not only affecting their daily living conditions but also their ability to stay connected with their children. Without electricity, they are unable to communicate effectively, which is deeply impacting their family time and emotional well-being. Additionally, both parents require ongoing medical treatments, and the lack of electricity is making it difficult for them to attend these critical appointments. We humbly ask for any assistance in helping them catch up on their electricity bill. Your support would bring immediate relief to a family that is struggling to navigate a difficult and overwhelming situation. Thank you for considering this urgent request. A one year old child needs diapers, and wipes. Family is under medium financial stress. Child is a size 6 in diapers, family has asked if they could receive some assistance getting these items.

A family is in need. The grandmother is currently providing for her 3 grandchildren and her own 3 children. Currently the father of the grandchild is incarcerated, and the mother is struggling with substance abuse. The grandmother has stopped working as she could not find childcare for her 3 grandchildren. This family would benefit from the following requested items: 3 twin beds and bedding (2 boys, 1 girl), a kitchen table set, couch, and chair.

A prospective adoptive family who recently welcomed a child into their home needs assistance with essential bedroom items despite already securing a mattress. They urgently require a complete twin bedding set including a blanket, along with a dresser to properly store the child's clothing and personal belongings. Meeting these needs will provide their child with a warm, cozy bed to sleep in. It will also create an organized space for their possessions. These essential items will help establish a nurturing environment that supports the child's sense of security and belonging in their new home.

The family is need of a washer and dryer set. The family is limited on funds and does not have much for local family support. The family has been utilizing the bathtub to wash clothes, but due to mother needing to have surgery, the task has become very difficult for them to complete.

Washer no larger than 30" as it needs to fit through the door. Dryer no larger than 30" as it needs to fit through the door. Electric set up for dryer is needed.

The family does not have transportation means and so items must be delivered, however, TFI may be able to assist with delivery needs.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.
