The family is need of a washer and dryer set. The family is limited on funds and does not have much for local family support. The family has been utilizing the bathtub to wash clothes, but due to mother needing to have surgery, the task has become very difficult for them to complete.

Washer no larger than 30" as it needs to fit through the door. Dryer no larger than 30" as it needs to fit through the door. Electric set up for dryer is needed.

The family does not have transportation means and so items must be delivered, however, TFI may be able to assist with delivery needs.

three children (5 f, 6 m, 7 m), are placed with their grandmother. The grandmother got certified as a kinship caregiver and is working towards having full custody of the children. The grandmother was approved for certified care in March but has not received payment yet. The family is struggling financially and could benefit from a walmart gift card to assist them with food until the end of the month when the grandmother will finally get paid.

This is a story of a successful case going to be closed soon. Dad is a disabled veteran. Both caregivers were formerly substance abusers and homeless. They have been maintaining sobriety and stable housing for more than two years. Mom has mental health issues which prevents her from regular jobs. Their daughter moved back to her dad's and is attending middle school in the seventh grade. Their son is seven years old in the second grade.

This family purchased a new home by obtaining a veteran loan. The family has limited income abs need furniture for the home and are asking or support. Items: queen bed all parts, daughter's twin bed all parts, son's twin bed all parts, sofa, and coffee table (or 2 end tables).

As a caseworker, I have the privilege of working with an incredible 18-year-old young woman who has overcome more than most people her age. Despite facing the uncertainty of moving to a new city and navigating life without the consistent support many of us take for granted, she has remained committed to her education and is on track to graduate high school this year. Graduation is more than a ceremony for her — it’s a celebration of strength, growth, and perseverance. She has worked hard to get here, and now she dreams of walking across that stage in a beautiful dress that makes her feel confident, proud, and seen. We are asking for help to make that dream come true. Your donation will go directly toward purchasing her graduation dress — a symbol of everything she has overcome and everything she’s becoming.

A family of 5 is struggling due to familiar loss and mental health issues. With a one parent income, the family is struggling to manage a clean a safe environment for their children along with their 4 dogs, 9 cats, and several rabbits in side the home. Due to concerns of too many animals causing unsanitary living conditions/issues with children's clothes smelling of animal urine, the family is seeking to move the animals outside the residence as the children's clothes have been soiled with animal urine and impacts the children's daily interactions with peers. DCF is looking for 2 large dog houses, and some cheap dog food for large breed dogs to assist this family in making space inside the home and to address and improve the living conditions of the home. Helping this family find a way to safely move some of their animals outside would increase the children's safety by lowering the amount of feces in the home and possibility for their clothes to be soiled by said animals.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.
