This request is for a family at our school. The student has a significant disability- nonverbal autism. He is raised by a single mom who lost her job in January. She is having difficulty finding more work because her hours are limited (she needs to be home to take care of her son when he is home. Due to his disability he cannot be left alone). In addition, she has recurrent card trouble (with costly repairs) so she doesn't have reliable transportation to the suburbs where she was previously working.

Because she has been out of work, she has really struggled to keep up with bills. Her electricity is at risk of being turned off at any time. She has a costly bill, and no way to pay it to keep her electricity on.

A compassionate set of paternal grandparents has recently taken custody of their newborn grandson. As they navigate this unexpected transition, they are working diligently to set up WIC and other support systems. In the meantime, they could use assistance in providing some essential items to help them care for their grandson. The baby is currently being fed Similac 360 Total Care formula, and the family has found that Huggies diapers are the most effective in keeping him dry and comfortable. They are also in need of baby wipes to help with daily care. Any support with formula, diapers, and wipes would be a tremendous blessing to this family.

We are involved with a family who needs assistance with getting the child's glasses fixed. The little girl, who is 7 years old, is close to being blind. Her glasses broke and the family is needing $100 to either get them repaired or replace them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A mother has reached out desperate and seeking rental assistance. Although she is married with a husband that is working, they both have low waged jobs. Mom's car broke down and they used their income to repair the car, so parents were able to get to work and children to school. During the time the car was down, Mom missed work and lost hours. Also, during this time Mom has taken custody of her two younger brothers. This has rattled this family more than just financially, and left with a semi working car and behind in rent to a hefty tune of $2,300. Helping this family with their rent will insure that stability and security will be in the home, as they try to navigate through a trying season in their lives. This is a family that could really use the support of a church community not only to provide the current need of rental help, but to help walk side them as they journey through life.

A mother of two daughters, a three year old and an unborn was recently able to regain her freedom just in time to give birth. The mother was able to obtain housing and weekly visits with her three year old daughter. The mother is seeking some assistance with obtaining baby items ( Bed, tub, bottles, and clothes ect). These items will help the mother maintain her stability and prevent family separation. The mother is open to receiving gently used items as well

A mother has lost custody of these children, and they are staying with an aunt. They have all been abused. The children only have a few clothes that the aunt has bought them, no toys, and very little toiletries. Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
