This is a single mom with three young kids in elementary school who’s been going through a tough time. She’s been experiencing homelessness and has been moving between Los Angeles and Orange County. While staying in LA, her kids missed over a week of school because she didn’t have a way to get them to school. Right now, the family is staying in Orange County, and with just three weeks left in the school year, the mom really wants her children to finish out the year at their school in Corona-Norco. School has been one of the few stable things in the kids’ lives lately, and she’s doing her best to keep that going. Mom needs support in the form of gas cards to help her get the kids to and from school during these last few weeks. Anything would help and would go a long way in supporting this family during a difficult time.

We are seeking urgent support for a family with two children at risk of losing stable housing. The family is currently facing eviction, with a balance of $3,587 due. If the balance is paid before the court date, they will be allowed to remain in their home. The mother is actively working side jobs and may be able to contribute a portion of the amount.

This support request is focused on preserving housing stability for the children, ensuring they are not displaced and can remain in a safe, familiar environment. Assistance toward this housing need would directly prevent trauma and disruption in their lives.

We have a twin sibling group (2 Fraternal Twins) who are both approaching a significant date as they age out of fostercare in June. This change has left them both feeling anxious, as they haven't had the opportunity to plan how they will celebrate their 18th birthday because their living situation is on their minds. One of the twins stated "I can't even think about my bday because I don't even know where I'm going to live"

One is a passionate basketball player, and faces the disappointment of having to change schools after successfully making the basketball team. The other loves music and is on the band and her too has to deal with having to change schools.

We aim to at least make their birthday special, given that they have not had the capacity to plan for it. When they are asked about their dream 18th birthday experience, they expressed a desire to take a boat tour at Bayside with each other. We would like to arrange for them to participate in both the speedboat experience and the Star Island boat tour, we would also love for them to enjoy lunch and go shopping on their 18th birthday. Can you help us make the day they turn 18 about their birthday and not about aging out?

We have a 23-year-old youth in care who is passionate about football and aspires to be drafted into the NFL. Currently, he is dedicated to both his academic pursuits and training, ensuring he is in peak condition for next years' draft. His commitment to exercise has led to noticeable physical growth, resulting in him outgrowing much of his clothing. Additionally, he is in need of new footwear. As he is currently without a job , only going to school and can only afford basic necessities, securing appropriate clothing is essential for his journey. Would you like to help this young boy get clothes and shoes he can fit ?

Mother continue to have liberalize visits with children and there have been no reported safety concerns. Mother is ready to have overnight visits with the children, except her home only has 1 bed, which she is using. Thus, mother does not have the funds to purchase beds for the boys. CSW recently conducted a walk-through of the home and confirmed the needs for beds/mattresses for the boys. Mother is requesting for assistance in purchasing bunk beds and mattresses for the boys. If acquired, the boys will have their own sleeping space and be more comfortable during family time with the mother.

I am looking for help to reunify a family with their child. The father just recently started working full time overnights while the mother tends to their four children during the day. The parents are just getting back on their feet but struggling financially to be able to cover first and last months' rent. They are requiring some assistance to just get them into their apartment so we can start a trial home visit. The family has been homeless for a while and couch-surfing with relatives and that in itself has taken a toll on them. The mother is unable to work due to needing to supervise her young children plus the one child in care has very intense medical needs that require round-the-clock care. The father is trying to also during the day work with a friend of his, cutting grass and doing some landscape jobs on top of his full-time work to help bring in extra cash as fast as they can. I am hoping to help this family out with just the first month to get them started and give them that motivation to keep going. They will be able to afford the rent on a monthly basis but like I said we are just needing assistance the first month for them so we can get their child back to them in their home. The parents will be able to provide proof of a signed lease agreement as well.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.
