Grandfather was laid off and thing have been hard the last few months, he has not found work and his car needs new tires he got an estimate of $1000.00 and his registration is also due $286.00 just applied for his SSI it will take a month or two for outcome, meanwhile he is still going to job interview, hopefully he will find a job, he needs his care for daily arrears taking his grandson to school and medical appointments, He really can’t fill this need, Food and keeping a roof over their head takes priority his wife is working and earns minimum wage. With cost of living so high it's been a struggle on one income,

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.

This caregiver has had a rough few years she has been battling breast cancer and other health issues,She and her husband are retired and on a tight budget,she adopted a granddaughter out of foster care around 8 yrs, she is now 23, is in college and works part time A few weeks ago they took in another grandchild age 16, he has an open case with DCFS he was removed for severe neglect and abuse,there are other siblings who are placed in other foster home for the kids. She needs to have 3 Dressers of 5 selfs to have adequate storage and needs to also replace sofas to pass inspection.

We have helped with other needs but these 4 items are still pending and they don’t have the funds.

We're requesting support for a young mom and her son who attend Grace's Table. This young family faces overwhelming barriers as the four-year-old son has a significant developmental disability and the family does not have meaningful support in the area. Recently, their vehicle broke down. As her son needs to attend routine doctor visits among other daily tasks, the need for support is critical. The mom took her car to two different mechanics for estimates and is working odd jobs to try to cover the expense. As transportation is vital to their well being, we are asking for your support to get their vehicle repaired and back on the road. She is able to provide an estimate for the repairs for your review.

3 boys, ages 11, 7, and 3, are being placed with their maternal aunt. She needs a twin-size bunk bed frame, two twin mattresses, and bedding to go with them. The older boys are also in need of clothing:

Good evening, we have a high school student that is not able to focus in school due to the family struggle. The mother lost her job during the Wild Fires and is not working. She is the sole provider since the father is very sick and not doing well. This family is very concerned about becoming homeless, they are working on getting assistance but at this time they are on a very long waiting list for services. Mother and dad of newborn have been living in their car for 14 months. Baby is now 2 months old. They both work and pay car payments but cannot afford to get established in an apartment or home. Baby is growing and they are in desperate need to have a different living situation for their family. They have been sleeping in a classroom on the floor of our church 3 nights a week, for this past month and the church cannot sustain this arrangement indefinitely. They are very polite, hardworking, clean and cooperative. We have prayed about this and believe a camper would be the best goal for them at this time. They can afford an RV park with utilities and start to get a lead on a permanent residence.

We are seeking urgent support for a family with two children at risk of losing stable housing. The family is currently facing eviction, with a balance of $3,587 due. If the balance is paid before the court date, they will be allowed to remain in their home. The mother is actively working side jobs and may be able to contribute a portion of the amount.

This support request is focused on preserving housing stability for the children, ensuring they are not displaced and can remain in a safe, familiar environment. Assistance toward this housing need would directly prevent trauma and disruption in their lives.
