We have a caregiver with his own teenage children accepted 5 children into his home (ages range 6-12), to prevent this from being separated and entering into foster care. The caregiver has 3 bedroom and 4 of the children are currently sleeping on the floor in the living room. I'm requesting 5 large twin size beds with (rales, box spring, pillows mattress and comforter sets-4 boys and 1 girl). The caregiver did not ask for help, but I'm also asking for gift cards for groceries to help supplement this single father (now 7 children), until he's licensed as a level 1 caregiver. I'm asking for this need to be met as quickly as possible as I can't license this home without beds for the children. Thank you in advance!!!!!!

This request is part of the Bundles of Hope Initiative. Citrus Family Care Network is working closely with this young adult who aged out of foster care and is part of the Independent Living Program. The young adult is doing her best to provide a safe nurturing environment for their little one. The young adult is caring for a child under the age of 2 and the child needs size 5 diapers and wipes. Would you consider stepping in to meet this need? A simple gift of diapers and wipes can ease a real burden and remind this young adult that are seen and supported. Your response sends a powerful message: You are not alone and your community cares.

A foster child is staying in a motel with her grandmother, and they need gift cards for meals/food. The grandmother does not have transportation, so they stay close to motel or utilize the bus.

The client is a single mother of three children, ages 17, 16, and 13. She recently removed herself and her children from an unsafe living situation and, for several months, they stayed in a single room in a friend’s home. With support from a local community agency, the client has successfully secured stable housing. The family is now working to rebuild and regain a sense of normalcy. The client currently earns income through contract work, including DoorDash, Uber, and Lyft, as she has not yet secured stable, full-time employment. She is putting in significant effort to improve her circumstances, and stable employment is a critical step in achieving long-term stability for her and her children. As the family is essentially starting over, they have only their clothing and a few personal belongings. The client is seeking assistance to pay the referral fees required to obtain furniture through the Furniture Bank. She would be deeply appreciative of any support that can be provided to help meet this need.

Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

A family with a child with special needs (seizure disorder and autism) is seeking assistance for a small portable air conditioner. Initially mom thought that the landlord got this fixed but as the days get hotter the a/c cannot keep up. The child’s seizures worsen with heat and the mom is about to undergo a surgery. Does anyone have a used portable a/c that can be donated? Or can you find it in your heart to donate to this cause?

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
