16 year old teen girl is placed in a foster home in Wichita long term. However her aunt is in KC and is an ongoing support. She will be providing a week long respite while the foster home is out of town, but is limited on her income and has two other children of her own. She is needing support with groceries for the week while the foster child (her niece) is with her. Gift cards for Walmart, target, or other grocery stores are accepted or payment for groceries.

An infant is placed with a kinship provider. The request is for child proofing items (plug protectors and cabinet door safety locks) to ensure the child does not access items that are not safe, a baby gate so the child is safe at the top of the stair, a MINI crib (not a full size crib...there is not room for a full size crib) to ensure safe sleeping and sheets for the MINI crib.

ERAT is working with a family who could benefit from a new bed as well as a new mattress for one of the children. The household consists of a father of two boys and the youngest son has grown out of his bed at the grandmother's home. The family lives in an area that was heavily hit by the hurricanes last year, so he has limited income following the storms. The father works a lot and is a single parent. The grandmother assists with watching the children when he works late shifts, so the bed will be for her home when the children are there. She lives close by the father and is his support system.

A mother of two active pre-teens is seeking a dining table that can comfortably seat six people. Currently, the family does not have a designated space where they can sit together for meals, making it difficult to create consistent family time around the dinner table. With the addition of a table, the mother envisions being able to share meals with her children and extend the invitation to grandparents when they visit, creating a more welcoming and connected family environment. This simple addition would foster deeper family bonds and provide a structured space for shared meals and conversation.

We have a caregiver with his own teenage children accepted 5 children into his home (ages range 6-12), to prevent this from being separated and entering into foster care. The caregiver has 3 bedroom and 4 of the children are currently sleeping on the floor in the living room. I'm requesting 5 large twin size beds with (rales, box spring, pillows mattress and comforter sets-4 boys and 1 girl). The caregiver did not ask for help, but I'm also asking for gift cards for groceries to help supplement this single father (now 7 children), until he's licensed as a level 1 caregiver. Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

A family with a child with special needs (seizure disorder and autism) is seeking assistance for a small portable air conditioner. Initially mom thought that the landlord got this fixed but as the days get hotter the a/c cannot keep up. The child’s seizures worsen with heat and the mom is about to undergo a surgery. Does anyone have a used portable a/c that can be donated? Or can you find it in your heart to donate to this cause?

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
