Carroll county has a young mom who is getting ready to have surgery on Wednesday. She has a four month old and a 2 year old that she really needs a stroller for by the time she has the surgery as she is taking them with her to surgery. She will also not be able to lift the children, so this will help her with soothing them and being able to get them around. We are advocating on behalf of a resilient young man who was completely displaced during the Eaton Fire. While he did receive some temporary assistance through 211LA, he has since fallen through the cracks and has not been able to secure consistent support from FEMA or any other relief sources. Since the fire, he has been moving from place to place with no secure or stable housing. He often has no choice but to sleep in his car, and is facing significant food insecurity. To make matters worse, he is behind on his car note, and the risk of losing his vehicle would remove the only consistent shelter and transportation he currently has. This young man is in urgent need of: Temporary housing or hotel assistance, Grocery or meal support, Help catching up on his car note to avoid repossession. He is doing his best to restabilize and regain footing after this devastating displacement but cannot do so without critical community support.

I am advocating on behalf of a maternal grandmother who stepped in to raise her two grandchildren. She previously received limited support through CarePortal, but upon further engagement, we’ve identified several ongoing crisis needs that are now compromising her stability.This grandmother is widowed and currently raising the children on her own. She works part time and receives a small amount of Social Security income. She does not receive any kinship or foster care assistance. She once relied on the income of her late husband, and now struggles to make ends meet on a very fixed income. Her car is critical for getting her grandchildren to school, medical appointments, and other essential activities. However, she has recently fallen two months behind on her car note and is also struggling to maintain her auto insurance. Without intervention, she is at high risk of repossession, which would disrupt the children’s care and further compound this family’s hardship. seeking assistance to help her catch up on two months of car payments and pay her current auto insurance to keep her vehicle and maintain safe, stable transportation for the children.

LA FIRES; Our youth lost most of her belongings in one of the LA fires in January 2025. She has been in our system since she was approximately 4 years old. She was removed from her biological mother and then was adopted when she was 6 years old. Over a year ago, the youth displayed severe mental health issues and her adopted mother relinquished custody of her as well. She has been in multiple placements due to her mental health issues but SHE HAS STILL MANAGED TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. She is very persistent and calls the CSW every day to ask what more the Department can do. She was given Court approval to remain with a NRFEM, whose RFA home assessment is currently pending and is not receiving any assistance from the county. The youth is in need of hygiene & hair care products, feminine products, clothes (plus size) and shoes.

We have a neighborhood Mom who attends our Mom's Bible Study. She has a young daughter and needs help with food. Her food stamps will not be available until June 19th. So, we are hoping you will claim one of the meals we are requesting. On Tuesdays, mac-n-cheese, a meat, and a veggie...on Thursdays, a pepperoni pizza. She is happy for you to deliver your meal to her. She lives off of Bonaventure...or for the pizzas, you could order it and send it to her. Her preferred delivery time is 6pm.

This client needs a crib mattress and sheets for her baby girl and 12months girl clothes and a 18 month jacket. Client was a previous client and was negative for this pregnancy test, but is not working right now and could use help with these items for her little girl.

Urgent need for a refrigerator! Harpeth Hills Church of Christ has been assisting a struggling family, and their refrigerator suddenly stopped working. The husband has stage 4 cancer and is unable to provide for the family.

A courageous mother from Peru came to the United States a few years ago seeking a better life for herself and her three children, who are currently being cared for by her mother back home. Since arriving, she has faced some difficult challenges. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she found safety and support in a women’s shelter, where she stayed with her infant son.

She first started attending Mesa Church over a year and a half ago, initially connecting through the women’s group, where she found community and support. Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus and was baptized in February, opening her heart to healing and new beginnings.

Now, with hope in her heart, she dreams of starting her own baking business to support her children and build a brighter future. She is moving into a new apartment this weekend with her 19-month-old son (wears size 6 diapers) and is in need of furniture and essential household items.
