A single kinship provider had taken in his 15 month old family member. He is working so hard to provide a safe and stable home for him and continues to be met with financial barriers. He is requesting a dresser that he can bolt to the wall, this can be used in good condition or new. He is currently using plastic bins but the toddler loves to climb and he is very concerned he will climb on it and it will fall on him. We are requesting support of a family that we've known for years and has been a pillar in the community. Specifically they need repairs completed on three windows that are currently unsealed and leaking water into the home, and probably collecting mold. The youngest child is an infant and has already had health concerns, and the next child has severe asthma that flares up regularly. They've tried different ways to seal the windows and have only been able to come up with a temporary solution. We think the windows getting repaired will greatly improve the health and well-being of the family, and reduce their stress knowing their kids aren't being affected by the moisture coming in the home.

A kinship caregiver is placement for two teenage girls, ages 15 and 13. She is requesting assistance with groceries, as she just had to put money down on a new home.

A family is struggling to be able to afford the special formula their infant must have. Both parents work and have WIC but unfortunately WIC is only contracted with Similac. The infant needs Reguline Enfamil with each can costing $40 for 19.5 oz. Without assistance, they will be unable to provide the formula this infant needs to thrive.

I’m reaching out today to ask for help for a strong, resilient, loving mother of a 15-year-old boy, a 2-year-old little boy, and a precious 7-month-old baby girl. For the last four years, this family lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Kerman, dealing with heartbreaking conditions. The apartment was infested with roaches and had black mold growing in the walls — an unsafe, unhealthy place for anyone, let alone for children. Despite paying high rent to a neglectful landlord who refused to make things right, they had no choice but to stay because it was all they could afford.

Recently, this Mom was finally able to relocate her family to a new apartment in Sanger. But with the move came another hard decision — she had to throw away nearly everything they owned because it was too infested and damaged to take with them. They left behind beds, furniture, kitchenware, and even the baby’s belongings. Now, this family is starting over with almost nothing, and we’re hoping to rally our community to help them rebuild their home and give these children the safe, clean, and loving space they deserve.
