This student recently graduated from our school. We are a second chance school who serves students who have struggled in the traditional public school setting. This student is an honors student who is also very responsible. This student is pregnant and is in need of equipment for her baby. She needs a stroller with a car seat as well as the pack and play with the basinet included. She is also in need of a baby bath tub, bottles, diapers, burpees, receiving blankets, and pacifiers.

Last week I removed a sibling group of 5 and was able to place them in a non-relative kinship home that we were able to get emergency approved. The children consist of 4 girls and 1 boy with their ages ranging from 17 to 7 years old. All 4 girls are sharing a room but are in need of a dresser to help store all of their clothes. The foster home is also in need of help with groceries for the 5 children while DHS is continuing to work with the foster home to get them fully approved for payments.

The mother in this case is needing another phone card to ensure that she has consisent communcation with her team. The mother is working on communicating with her treatment providers and her parenting time worker to ensure that she is making it to her scheduled time. The mother is currently struggling with getting to and from her parenting time and transportation has been set up but she will need a phone to be able to communicate with the provider. A family is struggling to be able to afford the special formula their infant must have. Both parents work and have WIC but unfortunately WIC is only contracted with Similac. The infant needs Reguline Enfamil with each can costing $40 for 19.5 oz. Without assistance, they will be unable to provide the formula this infant needs to thrive.

I’m reaching out today to ask for help for a strong, resilient, loving mother of a 15-year-old boy, a 2-year-old little boy, and a precious 7-month-old baby girl. For the last four years, this family lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Kerman, dealing with heartbreaking conditions. The apartment was infested with roaches and had black mold growing in the walls — an unsafe, unhealthy place for anyone, let alone for children. Despite paying high rent to a neglectful landlord who refused to make things right, they had no choice but to stay because it was all they could afford.

Recently, this Mom was finally able to relocate her family to a new apartment in Sanger. But with the move came another hard decision — she had to throw away nearly everything they owned because it was too infested and damaged to take with them. They left behind beds, furniture, kitchenware, and even the baby’s belongings. Now, this family is starting over with almost nothing, and we’re hoping to rally our community to help them rebuild their home and give these children the safe, clean, and loving space they deserve.

A mother has lost custody of these children, and they are staying with an aunt. They have all been abused. The children only have a few clothes that the aunt has bought them, no toys, and very little toiletries.
