A devoted and loving caregiver is currently raising her 11-year-old grandson and 4-year-old granddaughter, providing them with a safe, stable, and nurturing home. Despite facing many challenges, she continues to pour her heart into giving these children the love, care, and stability they deserve.

She is currently living with congestive heart failure, which has made daily life increasingly difficult. On top of managing her own health, she continues to meet the needs of the children as best she can. Her car recently broke down, and she is now without reliable transportation. This has created a significant barrier—not only to getting the children to school and appointments, but also to attending her own critical medical visits and the therapeutic services the children rely on.

She is in the process of applying for benefits, but in the meantime, she urgently needs help covering the cost of car repairs. Restoring her vehicle would allow her to keep up with vital medical care and continue providing the consistent, loving support her grandchildren need.

Additionally, clothing gift cards would be a tremendous help, as she is on a fixed income and doing everything she can to provide for the children on her own. Any support—big or small—would make a meaningful difference in their lives and be deeply appreciated.

Food Donation for Children at the Care Center The OKDHS Care Center offers a home-like setting for children awaiting placement. The Center is a safe, comfortable environment for children as the child welfare worker completes necessary paperwork and identifies a foster placement. Children often come in hungry. The Care Center allows children to choose what they want to eat, giving them a choice when they do not have many choices. We have a list of possible suggestions but are open to any food donation that is easily prepared. The Care Center has a refrigerator and can accept frozen or cold foods. Thank you for your help!

A husband and wife have children in custody. They have also recently had a baby. They are homeless and are living on the streets. They could use some help with food and groceries and basic supplies. This will help them survive and to be able to get ahead and work towards reunifying with their children. I know that the mother does not have shoes

A kinship placement with five older youth (three children in care and two other children) in the home is in need of grocery assistance. The Placement Provider has had difficulty financially keeping up with groceries for the youth in her home. Easy meals for the kiddos to make or a Walmart gift card would be appreciated!

62197941-A dedicated and loving caregiver who has taken on the challenge of raising two children, ages 10 and 7, sought help from OhioKAN to address urgent repairs in their home to ensure a safer environment for the children and the entire family. The caregiver applied for two local home improvement grants. Unfortunately, one was denied, while the other remains under review. While she never expected to resume raising young children, our caregiver has embraced her new role wholeheartedly, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience. Traditionally, the family has taken pride in their ability to care for each other and manage household expenses. However, with her husband’s retirement leading to a significant reduction in their income and our caregiver currently unable to work, they are facing financial constraints. They would be immensely grateful for any assistance in replacing and/or installing exterior and interior doors, which would greatly enhance safety and stability in their home. The family would be grateful for any assistance they could receive.

Mom has a child on the spectrum, so it is hard to find good day care. She is home with the kids until she can get services. That being the case, a kitchen table will help for the family's meals and for the kids to sit at and do activities. It will help the apartment to feel more like home. ALL THE ITEMS NEEDED ARE AVAILABLE FROM RISE CHURCH CP INVENTORY. NO FURTHER DONATIONS ARE NEEDED.

A lady in a senior housing complex is in need of furniture and dishes for her apartment. She only has a bed and a tv. She is in need of dishes, sofa, table with chairs.

A mom at the apartments where we serve is in need of a bed. She has been having major issues with her back due to sleeping on her sofa. She does not work and cares for her disabled son. She is in need of a bed and dresser. Anything you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.

A member of our church is in need of assistance with his family's utility bill. This family has 6 children all under the age of 12. Both parents are employed and hardworking. Meeting this need will help alleviate this church family from this financial burden!

We have an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of a single mother and her two young children. She’s working hard to provide for her family, but it’s tough to keep up with laundry when she can’t get to the laundromat. 
Right now, they’re sleeping on mattresses on the floor, and she’s seeking gently used washer and dryer units to ensure her kids have clean clothes. Additionally, bed frames would help restore their dignity and self-esteem.
