We have a Single Mom in our Neighbor's Ministry whose son is signed up to attend CBC HS Camp. She just called and told me he wouldn't be able to go because she has been out of work with health issues and unable to get the needed supplies for him to be able to attend. I assured her that I could get the items he needed covered so that he could participate for the first time. This opportunity could be life changing for him and I wouldn't never want him to miss out due to items on a packing list, but the resources are just not there, currently. This is a way to eliminate any reason for him to not be able to attend camp. Please pray for his salvation. :)

Single mom of four children has fallen behind on her electric bill. The family lives in public housing and collectively live on mom's SSI payments after losing the children's father last year. Mom is typically very diligent about paying her bills, but an unexpected expense came up last month and she was unable to pay both the expense and her bills. The outstanding cost to Dominion Energy is $166.71. Mom's support system has come up with a plan to avoid any delayed payments in the future and discussed how much she can safely put away each month for a "rainy day fund."

Grandparents have Power of Attorney for their three grandchildren. Grandparents need clothing and shoes for the children. Grandparents have had to decrease their work hours to ensure childcare is covered. Grandparents and Mother have agreed to a Power of Attorney as an alternative to DHS opening a case and grandparents have supported the children fully for over 2 years. Mother does not provide any support.

The family also is in need of two toddler beds and bed frames as well as one booster seat.

An inspiring couple is taking the steps to become licensed foster parents. This couple specifically feels called to foster teenagers, which is always a significant need. They have begun the licensing process and recently did their home study. The agency informed the couple that some repairs and upgrades to the couple's home are needed to comply with licensing requirements before they can move forward. This includes repairs to the floor in a bedroom, repairing the shower in a bathroom, adding doors to rooms that do not currently have them, and repairing some chipping paint. This couple attends an amazing church that has secured a contractor who will donate his time, but they need help in securing the construction supplies to complete the repairs. The contractor and another volunteer from the church have priced out the items and about $450 is needed to purchase them. Your help with meeting this need will not only help the couple, but it will also help them to provide a safe and loving home for teenagers who are in foster care.

Two parent household with 3 children. Ages 11, 10, and 4. The family relies on the school to provide PediaSure to the two older children to help support their healthy development and growth. The school year will be over in just a few short weeks and the school will no longer provide this support to the family over the summer. Request would be for at least two packs of PediaSure to help support the children’s growth and development over the summer break. Cost of one 16-bottle pack is around $30. Total cost is approximately $60.

A Teller County family is in need of a full sized mattress for a 12 year old boy. This child was found to be living in an unsafe, uninhabitable home for the past 5 months. He was not in school, and was struggling with his own health/mental health distress, due to his living environment and lack of support. After removal from this home, his aunt and uncle did not hesitate to rally around him immediately, despite having a toddler of their own and baby on the way. They are willing to be a long-term support while his parent stabilizes their mental health. These loving family members took him in, got him back into school, and provided him with a warm and nurturing environment. This family has done so much to provide their support, let's show them some support in return. The family would be greatly appreciative!

I am reaching out to request your urgent assistance for a family in need. A local mother, who is currently facing an extremely difficult and traumatic situation, is in urgent need of hotel accommodations for the week.

Her 15-year-old daughter has recently been the victim of domestic violence. The young girl was severely attacked by her boyfriend and is now in critical condition. As a result, the mother is staying in a hotel nearby to be by her daughter’s side during this incredibly challenging time.

Due to the circumstances, the mother is in desperate need of support to continue staying close to her daughter while ensuring her own well-being. Your help in providing hotel accommodations would be a great blessing and relief for this family during such a heartbreaking ordeal.

A family is struggling to be able to afford the special formula their infant must have. Both parents work and have WIC but unfortunately WIC is only contracted with Similac. The infant needs Reguline Enfamil with each can costing $40 for 19.5 oz. Without assistance, they will be unable to provide the formula this infant needs to thrive.

I’m reaching out today to ask for help for a strong, resilient, loving mother of a 15-year-old boy, a 2-year-old little boy, and a precious 7-month-old baby girl. For the last four years, this family lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Kerman, dealing with heartbreaking conditions. The apartment was infested with roaches and had black mold growing in the walls — an unsafe, unhealthy place for anyone, let alone for children. Despite paying high rent to a neglectful landlord who refused to make things right, they had no choice but to stay because it was all they could afford.

Recently, this Mom was finally able to relocate her family to a new apartment in Sanger. But with the move came another hard decision — she had to throw away nearly everything they owned because it was too infested and damaged to take with them. They left behind beds, furniture, kitchenware, and even the baby’s belongings. Now, this family is starting over with almost nothing, and we’re hoping to rally our community to help them rebuild their home and give these children the safe, clean, and loving space they deserve.
