AGAPE serves a sibling group of four placed in two different AGAPE Foster Families. The foster family of the two older children were recently in a car accident taking the children to therapy. The driver that hit this family had no car insurance. The foster family is now responsible for all the repairs to their vehicle and have a high insurance copay to now pay. Any assistance towards these fees would benefit this family.

Arapahoe County Human Services partners with Kings Team Camp, a summer overnight stay away camp for teens in foster care. This camp gives them special experiences outdoors (zip lining, horseback riding, archery, hiking) that many of them have never had the opportunity to do. The week of camp is truly life changing! The camp is a Christian based camp where the love of Jesus is poured into these kids. At camp, some of these teens are introduced to Jesus for the first time through bible study, worship night, camp fire talks and various conversations with volunteers and camp leaders. We are in need of 25 bibles to provide one to each of these youth so they have something to use during Bible study and to take home with them. Would you be willing to provide Bibles for these youth?

AGAPE serves a 16-year-old girl in foster care. She needs a new retainer for her mouth however her insurance doesn't cover the cost for orthodontics care. The foster family would benefit from any funds towards this pressure.

Arapahoe County DHS partners with King's Team, an overnight summer camp for youth in foster care. Each year, 25 foster youth (age 13-16) have the opportunity to experience God's love through a variety of activities including camp fire worship nights, loving volunteers, encouragement to try new things, and joy for the mountains. We are away at camp for 6 days and 5 nights. These kids play HARD and are in need of some extra snacks to make it through the day. Camp only provides 3 meals a day. Our growing teens are in need a little more. Can you help satisfy their hunger by providing them 2-3 snacks a day? Single serve, snack packs are perfect as we need something to easily carry in our backpacks. We are in the woods in cabins and need snacks that are easy to store and disperse to the kids individually. We have 2-3 kids who are gluten free and 2 kids who are dairy free. A combination of Fruit snacks, granola bars, cheezeitz or goldfish, trail mix, popcorn, chips, etc.. We need roughly 450 individual snacks, at least 54 of which are gluten free and 36 that are dairy free.

We’re seeking a donation of a Pack and Play (new or used, preferably with a bassinet) to keep at our office for emergency situations when a young child has no immediate foster placement and must stay with us overnight in our office.

This simple item would provide a safe, comfortable space for infants and toddlers during incredibly vulnerable moments. Your donation would directly support children in crisis and help us offer compassionate, safe place for a child to rest and get sleep.

Hey BattleCreek church family! We have been connected to a recent kinship placement. The maternal aunt has stepped in as an out-of-home safety monitor for her teenage nephew, providing him with a safe and stable environment while the family works through ongoing challenges. Unfortunately, the aunt’s food stamp benefits were recently hacked, leaving her without critical resources to feed her household. She is doing her best to provide for the teen and maintain stability, but with limited income and no access to her food benefits for the rest of the month, she is struggling to meet their basic needs. We are asking for support in providing assistance for their utility bill this month. Even the smallest amount helps!

A single mom unexpectedly lost her job causing her to be unable to pay her rent for the month of May placing her and her high school age child and child who is a young adult at risk for homelessness. She has already found a new job and is motivated to get back on her feet. Would you be willing to show this mom a little kindness? She would appreciate any help that can be provided to help keep her family in their home.

A young family from Afghanistan arrived in Holland a few months ago and is in need of support. While the dad speaks a few phrases in English, they primarily speak Pashto and have 4 children (plus one more on the way due in August). Their 10 year old son is currently enrolled at an elementary school on the northside of Holland. The younger siblings are a 5 year old boy and two girls aged 4 and 6 months. The father worked for the US Military in Afghanistan for 15 years before coming to Lansing with his family in 2021. He worked in a car factory in Lansing, but decided to come to Holland to be closer to friends when his family lost housing. The father is still searching for local employment, but is able to drive his own small car. They have borrowed funds for rent the past few months, but are running out of options. Any help would be a gift as we search for more sustainable income for their family!

Movement West Michigan has been made aware of the needs of this family and are working with multiple local agencies and churches to coordinate immediate support as they work toward long-term stability.
