Resource Linkage is working with a single mother of 3 children who is barely making it with her current wages, the mother has applied to several small jobs for better income but has not been hired yet. She has a few small bills that will fall behind if she cannot get help in paying. I am asking for a partner to take lead by assisting with payments for the small bills to help her for the remainder of this month. The family has made many strides but a new job with better pay will be the game changer she needs moving forward. We are hoping she gets approved to begin delivering orders again which has provided supplemental income in the past. Anything will help. Thanks in advance!

A mom and daughter are in need of support! Mom is celebrating a year of sobriety. Her 15 year old daughter is being discharged back to her birth mother after several years in care. Mom has secured temporary housing and is working with assistance at finding permament housing. Having secured housing makes it possible for the child to return to mom and have her own space. Mom is not currently working as she has been in treatment. She is in need of assistance in accumulating items her daughter will need.

Hi! We have a 6 year old boy in a temporary foster placement. He was placed with only the clothes and shoes he was wearing. By meeting his basic needs, he will be provided for while he awaits an adoption home. He wears size 6x and shoe size 1. Thank you for any and all help.

Foster parent has requested financial assistance to help obtain clothing for one of the children placed in his home. The child came into his home without much belongings. He currently has multiple children in the home that are in custody and has other children in the home that he has adopted. One of the children in the home has an employment opportunity to which he needs to wear certain attire. Foster parent is hoping to have a little help to assist in buying the necessary clothing items so the child may retain employment and have better stability for himself. Foster parent has stated any assistance would be helpful, even if it was a gift card to Walmart.

Good morning, friends. I have been made aware of a young woman who is 7 1/2 months into a high-risk pregnancy, who has a connection with someone in our church. Part of what she is struggling with is that one of the twins she is carrying passed away quite early in the pregnancy. She has also been in and out of the hospital with various infections, but the baby is fine. She had to quit her job so she has no income and is also not physically able to get out to purchase what she needs. She is being supported emotionally by the baby's father and her parents, but they do not have the means to equip a nursery. If you have ANY baby items taking up space that you would be willing to part with or can help provide any of the items listed, it would be so encouraging and greatly appreciated by them all. She is having a girl and they do have some clothes. I do not expect all of these items to be provided, but I am just throwing out ideas. Thank you so much!

Foster Care Awareness Month is here and around 6,000 children are in the Oklahoma foster care system on any given day. All though we care about each one of these amazing kids we want to come alongside those that are in our community to ensure that they know they are loved, supported, and have community.

All though we may not be able to solve the foster care crisis state wide we can solve it in our community. One easy step in doing this is by supporting the foster families that have stepped up on behalf of these precious children. We are working to get 25 care totes prepared for the 25 Foster families that are in our area. These totes are a small example of how we can help support them as they go into the summer months and resources are limited. This is a community opportunity for churches, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals to make a difference. Everyone can do something and together we can make a difference.

The items that you provide can be dropped of at ReaLove in Miami May 22nd & June 5th from 1 PM - 4 PM so that the Care Totes can be assembled and distributed to the families in June.
