This family is in urgent need of assistance as they face homelessness, although we are fortunate to have secured temporary housing help. However, they are in desperate need of adequate clothing, as they currently have only 1-2 pairs of clothes between them. As well as groceries for the family. This single mother needs some assistance in paying a past due extermination bill as well as help with the next month’s extermination. This home was once infested with cockroaches. This mother has been working with an extermination company to rid the infestation. She has also renovated her entire home herself in effort to rid the infestation and keep the problems from happening again. The home repairs have unfortunately wiped her bank account dry. She is in dire need of help paying that past month’s extermination plus the next month’s extermination cost so that she can continue to keep up with the maintenance that is required to prevent the infestation from returning. This infestation was one of the main reasons for her young child coming into foster care and one of the biggest hurdles this mother must face for reunification with her child can happen.

We’ve come across a heartfelt situation involving a family that has graciously welcomed a 17-year-old boy into their home. This young man, who tragically lost his mother last year, has no family to care for him, and it was his kind classmate who opened their door to him. However, living in a small two-bedroom house has brought additional challenges for everyone involved. The family is currently facing financial difficulties, struggling to make ends meet, with groceries running low and falling behind on this month’s rent by $300. This youth is in foster care for the second time after a failed adoption. He is 16 years old. He would like to have a pair of white Nike Air Forces in a size 10. This youth has one pair of shoes currently that fit. These shoes would help him feel special and help him fit in with his friends. This is also something that his attorney ad litem has requested for him.

A kinship caregiver recently stepped up to care for two young children placed with her under urgent circumstances. She’s now managing daily transportation across multiple towns for schools and appointments—spending hours each day on the road—all while her spouse recovers from a recent hospitalization. With benefits still pending, she’s stretched thin trying to meet the children’s basic needs on a limited budget. The family is in need of gas support to help with daily transportation, as well as essential items like clothing, shoes, and bedding. This caregiver is doing everything she can to provide safety, comfort, and consistency for these kids. Any support—big or small—would go a long way in helping her continue showing up for them every day with love and resilience.

I have an upper elementary student who is in need of summer tutoring, but the family cannot afford to pay for it. We have been able to provide for half the cost which will provide for once-a-week tutoring but are looking for help to cover the other half which will cover the cost of providing tutoring twice a week.

Urgent need for a refrigerator! Harpeth Hills Church of Christ has been assisting a struggling family, and their refrigerator suddenly stopped working. The husband has stage 4 cancer and is unable to provide for the family.

A courageous mother from Peru came to the United States a few years ago seeking a better life for herself and her three children, who are currently being cared for by her mother back home. Since arriving, she has faced some difficult challenges. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she found safety and support in a women’s shelter, where she stayed with her infant son.

She first started attending Mesa Church over a year and a half ago, initially connecting through the women’s group, where she found community and support. Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus and was baptized in February, opening her heart to healing and new beginnings.

Now, with hope in her heart, she dreams of starting her own baking business to support her children and build a brighter future. She is moving into a new apartment this weekend with her 19-month-old son (wears size 6 diapers) and is in need of furniture and essential household items.
