Story
Father in need of blankets (1 twin and 2 queen), bed sheets (1 twin and 2 queen), pillows (1 twin and 4 queen), towels (4-6 hand and 4-6 bath) microwave, toaster, dishes, cutlery set, cups, pots, and pans. This family came to the attention of DCFS due to father’s substance abuse issues (alcohol) and marital problems with his second wife. The children’s biological mother was deported to Mexico and father has been taking care of his three children on his own. Father is partially complaint with his case goal plans. He participates in DCFS Random drug and alcohol tests and his results have been negative. Father is employed and provides for his children. Most recently father and his current wife have decided to separate, and father was forced to move out of the home immediately. Father slept in his car, while his children were able to remain in the small apartment with his ex-wife. Father struggled to find an apartment due to not having established credit. Thankfully father was finally able to find a small apartment for him and his three children. Father is committed to keeping his family together and providing them with a safe home environment. The children are well-behaved and well mannered. The children attend school and have not exhibited any serious behavioral issues. Father is responsive and makes the children and himself available for monthly visits. Father is committed to providing his children with a home that is stable and safe.
