Grandmother was recently placed with her grandchildren and is in need of a gas card to help with transportation of children and a toddler bed / bed set. This will allow the other children in the house to have a more comfortable form of living.

This child has recently been reunited with his father. His father struggles financially, and is trying to provide his son a comfortable transition with his favorite things.

The household consists of a Mother and her 10-year-old child. Mother has recently moved into some more affordable apartments. Mother and Child are currently sharing a bed. During the move Mother had to throw away the bed frame due to it breaking. Mother does not have any furniture besides the one mattress and a tv stand. Mother also does not have much food in the home. Mother would appreciate any assistance to ensure the home is appropriate and the child's food needs are met.

The family consists of a single mother, grandmother, and two daughters. The family currently houses several animals, and the family is in need of a dumpster for the numerous items outside the home. The family has one car which cannot carry the large items. The family is unable to afford or get a dumpster service on their own and their landlord has threatened to evict if they do not remove the garbage surrounding the property. The dumpster does not have to be large (10 yards is enough) and the family is capable of filling the dumpster themselves.

A single mother of three is facing a difficult season. Despite living with a disability that prevents her from working right now, she is taking classes to earn an LVN license at a local university, taking a bold step toward a better future for her family. But the road ahead is still steep. She’s currently working with a lawyer to extend her workers' compensation so she can receive a surgery on her spine that she urgently needs. In the meantime, she’s struggling to keep up with her car payments which are her only means of transportation to medical appointments, and her children’s activities. Amid these challenges, there is light: her daughter recently made the beautiful decision to accept Christ and be baptized at our Lake Forest campus, a moment of joy and hope for the entire family. Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. The client is seeking assistance with her South Central Power bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on June 3, 2025, due to a past-due balance of $349.60. She is able to contribute $100 toward the amount owed.

The client recently experienced significant hardship, including a divorce followed by a car accident that was not her fault. As a result, she was temporarily unable to work and fell behind on her bills. She has since returned to full-time employment and now has a sustainable income.

Given her current circumstances and demonstrated effort toward self-sufficiency, she has been referred to InterFaith for possible assistance.
