A child placed in an intermediate children's center for intellectual disabilities has been moved to a bigger cottage. The child has requested a Nintendo Switch, and the staff feels he would fit in better with the other children in the cottage if he was to have one. Owning a Nintendo Switch would help him feel included during conversations or group activities, as several other members in the cottage has their own devices.

A caregiver is needing assistance with getting transportation donated bunk beds. Due to the caregiver not having a proper vehicle to transport the beds, she will need help with getting the beds from Oldsmar to her home in Riverview. Once assistance is received her 17-year-old nephew will have sufficient sleeping arrangement rather than the current situation which is an air mattress. Assistance with getting a rental moving truck or a volunteer that can help with the transportation is highly appreciated.

This family in need has been displaced. The mother is staying with family and needs an air mattress for all of her children, as well as bedding. She has wo children, one of which is on the spectrum and has higher needs. The child is distressed by the disruption of their routine. Having these items will improve their sleeping management and reintroduce routine for the children; further improving their sleep and lowering their stress over their housing disruption.

Single Father has been working really hard to get his son back. He has finally been able to get into a house for him and his son and is working on getting it furnished. He is still in need of a few things and would love to get a toddler bed for his son. We are really close to getting trial reunification with this father and plan to start overnight visits within the next two weeks.

I have three children placed in a kinship home and they are in need of a triple bunk to have space for everyone to sleep comfortably and to preserve the placement. This is an important need as one of the children have been sleeping on the couch to accommodate everyone.

One of our own church members who is elderly and disabled is seeking assistance with creating a new home in an apartment. She is needing some basic needs to furnish her home. Some people have already donated a couch, bed, dresser and blender. She is needing the following items: TV (24-32"), TV stand, dining room table and chairs, dinnerware set, vacuum cleaner, pots and pans, microwave oven, set of bathroom towels (bath, washcloth, hand towel), shower curtain, queen-sized bedding set, and kitchen towels. She will be moving to her new apartment later in June.

Gently used items are acceptable for the furniture, microwave and dishes.

This family we have helped before. She was removed from an abusive home and moved into Covington with her children and has struggled to make ends meet. Her apartment is now asking her to leave, but she has secured a place in Clifton but needs help moving some things to her new place. She has 2 children and has a very hard medical diagnosis that has been keeping her bills high. She will need a truck or trailer to haul some things. I have this valued at $10 because it's not really a monetary need. She has also requested to have someone sit with her to help her work out her financial budget. She is really doing her hardest to take care of her family.
