This request is for a single mother who lives in the heart of Lynchburg with her toddler. She had family living with her until recently when they moved out of state, leaving her alone to care for her child and keep up income through cleaning houses. Her child currently does not have an actual bed for sleeping. When presented with the possibility of getting a bed for her child, her face lit up like a Christmas tree that there are people who may be able to bring her son a bed. We have a single father who recently moved into a bigger place in Gainesville so that he can reunify with his son. He was approved to start overnight visits, but needs a bed and appropriate bedding for these overnights to begin. This father works full-time and is gainfully employed. He has all of his funds tied up in the housing/move expenses. This father's first visit will be on 6/6/2025. A used twin bed, box spring, and frame is also needed in addition to the bedding. The 6 year old child loves Spider-Man!

Family discovered mold in the foundation of the house, impacting the health and wellness of those residing. Cost of mold remediation and installing drainage (sump pump) is far beyond the family's financial means. The costs are far greater than listed but every bit helps.

A mom and her 3 year old daughter currently reside in a Domestic violence shelter after leaving an abusive relationship. She has been attending counseling, getting her daughter enrolled in daycare, applying for jobs, etc. Recently, she was placed into a rental assistance program and was able to secure her own apartment. She will be exiting shelter on Monday 6/2 and has nothing for her new home. She is in need of a couch, coffee table, tv, and tv stand. She would also love to have curtains, desk, and a standing lamp but these are not necessities.

There are 7 people living in the home and only 1 person is able to work. The others are kids or adults on disability/recovering addicts. They have reached out to other programs but are not able to receive help at the moment. Anything can help.

There is a Neighbor's Ministry Mom that we have been working with for awhile that is in need of groceries. She experienced the unexpected loss of a child and has been dealing with a huge amount of grief which has been paralyzing at times. She is having trouble with her food stamp benefits and with her daughter out of school now for the summer, is in need of groceries to give them a strong start to the summer while she sorts out her food benefits. I have all of the items in an online cart for Aldi. If someone is interested in sponsoring them, I am happy to pick it up and deliver. Or if you would like to pick up and deliver just let me know :)
