Story
I am reaching out to share the urgent circumstances of a single mother caring for four children. Due to an eviction, she is currently staying in a hotel and has made arrangements for her younger two children to live with their previous foster parents in Indianapolis until she can secure stable housing.
Recently, she found a three-bedroom apartment at Minerals Springs, LLC, which offers a much-needed stable environment for her family. However, they require a security deposit of $1,456 and first month’s rent of $1,456 to move in.
The service provider that is working with the family is giving the family $700. Mom stated she has $200 which gives us a total of $900 total. Unfortunately, the funds she had saved for these initial costs have been depleted, as she has been using her savings to purchase food, cover laundry expenses, transportation, and other essentials for her family. Despite these challenges, she is currently employed and able to pay rent moving forward, but she needs assistance to cover the initial move-in costs to get her foot in the door.
Any support or guidance that can be provided to help her secure this housing would be immensely appreciated. She is working hard to maintain stability for her children and simply needs a helping hand to get started.
