Grandmother is now caring for her granddaughter who was in foster care in Missouri and once granddaughter's parents' rights are relinquished, Grandmother will be adopting granddaughter. Grandmother lives in a very old trailer and the washer and dryer does not work. With increased laundry there is a great need for a washer and dryer. Grandmother lives on her disability subsidy which is not enough to save money to buy a used washer and dryer. Any consideration for this need is greatly appreciated.

This is a request made by a single mother of three teenage girls. Mom made some bad choices in the past, but has turned her life around and is in the process of regaining guardianship of her three girls. She was able to put a down payment on an attorney to help her with the court process, which she was able to do because of her full-time job. Mom requested some additional bath towels and wash cloths for the home as they only have a few. The girls have requested some additional items: underwear: size 6 and 10 (women's sizes), pads for day and night, Pantene shampoo and conditioner, sensitive skin lotion, box fan, blow dryer and hair ties. Both mom and the girls experienced recent household fires before coming back together in the same household, so they are slowly rebuilding their lives together.

An aunt is taking in her nephew that the mother lost custody of and the uncle took him in and now he recently lost custody. The child is 14 years old and the aunt is in need of a twin bed and mattress. The child is currently in a boys home so the aunt is going to take him in. Child needs clothing( XL shirt, 38x34 pants, (size 12) shoes, socks, (large) underwear and hygiene products.

Caregiver currently has one toddler and is being given placement of the child's toddler sibling. Caregiver is in need of a double stroller to assist as this is a single parent household an in need of a car seat (5 point convertible) to provide transportation to the sibling being placed. This is an adoptive placement on an expedited case.

A mom is residing in a domestic violence shelter after leaving an abusive relationship. Her two kids (boy age 2, girl age 3) are currently in the custody of their father and they are going to court over custody of the children. Mom has been able to secure an apartment through a rental assistance program. She has court coming up and must show them that she is able to provide a stable living environment for them. In order to do this, she is in need of a Queen bed frame and mattress, 2 dresser, 2 toddler beds frames and mattresses, couch, and kitchen table/chairs. Client would also love to have a tv and tv stand for the children to give them something to do but this is not a necessity.

Child has been placed with aunt, and she has made room for him in her home by creating a room for him. He is 5 and is in need of a toddler bed, sheets, small dresser and any other items to make this room a home.

We have a brave mother with young children who is a survivor of recent domestic violence, and we have been supporting this family in their journey toward stability. Unfortunately, the program we had arranged for them is no longer able to accept them. We urgently appeal to the community to help provide temporary housing for this mother and her children for the month, ensuring they have a safe roof over their heads. Meeting this need would not only offer immediate shelter but also give them the essential time to find another suitable program. This mother is currently 8 months pregnant, making it even more critical to secure a safe space for her and her children. Please join us in helping this young mother keep her family together and create a plan for their future.

A family of 6 with kids who are 12, 10, 3, 1 has moved into the SCV and is need of support. The father is currently looking for work to help support the family but currently they don't have any income. The family has rented an apartment, but they do not have sufficient beds or furniture for the family. The three year old is in need of a twin bed/mattress. The family also needs a dining room table and a couch. Any support would be helpful. Gently used furniture would be welcomed and appreciated.

This Wooddale woman is looking for help assembling furniture. If you are willing to help, I will connect you with her directly to get details and schedule.

A Pathway member has recently started walking with a young woman who is 5 months pregnant and plans to keep her daughter when she is born. Her boyfriend is the dad of the unborn baby and he was the sole provider before recently being incarcerated. Mom is currently staying in a motel. To make the amount she needs for rent daily she has been doing online surveys and selling apparel / house ware things on Facebook marketplace.

She doesn’t currently have any support system. She has applied for jobs but being 5 months pregnant hasn’t been hired. She does not have a car which makes it hard to apply anywhere far away from the motel.

The Pathway member is connecting mom to more long-term resources but, in the meantime would like to ensure that mom is housed for an additional two weeks until the longer-term resources can be arranged.
