I am working with three kiddos who are 4 (male), 3 (female), and 11 mo. (male). In May, they were removed from their home and placed into foster care. The initial foster home they were placed in was not able to meet their needs, so a week later, they had to move again. When the kids were placed in their current home, they did not have much with them. Foster mom reported that the clothing they had does not fit and a lot of the baby items are old, dirty, and had to be thrown away. The two older children are high needs as they struggle with behavioral issues, speech delays, and regulation challenges. The youngest has a brain injury that requires ongoing care. We want to support them and the foster parents as much as possible to help with stability and structure. In speaking with foster parents, they would benefit from some additional support in buying new and useable items for the kids.

I have a kindship placement that is in need of a twin sized bed for a ward that was placed there.

My client is 18 and gave birth to her daughter on May 21st. She lives in a shelter and is in need of a stroller. She is estranged from her family and has little support. Any immediate assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, she’s struggling to keep up with her car payments which are her only means of transportation to medical appointments, and her children’s activities. Amid these challenges, there is light: her daughter recently made the beautiful decision to accept Christ and be baptized at our Lake Forest campus, a moment of joy and hope for the entire family. Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. The client is seeking assistance with her South Central Power bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on June 3, 2025, due to a past-due balance of $349.60. She is able to contribute $100 toward the amount owed.

The client recently experienced significant hardship, including a divorce followed by a car accident that was not her fault. As a result, she was temporarily unable to work and fell behind on her bills. She has since returned to full-time employment and now has a sustainable income.
