A single mother just obtained her own apartment and is in need of a couch and a couple of dressers for the apartment for herself and her son.

Two female siblings, ages 2 months and 2 years old were removed from their mother and placed in their grandparents' home. The family is needing assistance with diapers, size 1 and 5, Dr. Brown Bottles -6-8 oz, clothing, size 6-9 months and 3T mainly pajamas, and a pack -n-play for the infant as she ages, they will need a larger area for her to sleep. They have limited space and need a bedding that can be placed out of the way during the day.

We are a loving family of six, comprised of four wonderful girls aged 7, twins aged 12, and a vibrant 16-year-old. Recently reunited with their forever home after foster care, the twins need special support to ensure their transition is as smooth as possible. We are seeking pull-ups in size 5T/6T and some regular children’s underwear to keep our little ones comfortable. Clothing and food assistance would greatly benefit our family during this time. Given that the twins are medically fragile, a sturdy wagon would be a wonderful help for taking all the children on joyful walks with their parents. Lastly, if possible, we are hoping to acquire medical equipment like feeding tube holders to ensure the twins receive the care they need. Mother and three small children are in need of one twin trundle bed (a twin bed with another twin bed stored underneath). They also need one twin mattress, one zipable waterproof mattress pad, three bed pillows, and three sets of twin bed sheets. The children are ages 6, 4 and 3. The six-year-old has special needs. He currently has a bunk bed that is unsafe and damaged. The child has a history of becoming injured while climbing up and down the bunk bed. He recently had surgery for club feet and is unsteady. The two younger are not able to safely use the bunk bed. The bedroom is very small and there is no room for three existing beds, so we are asking for a trundle bed. Mother does not have finances to fulfill this need on her own. The youngest of the two brothers is low-functioning and has special needs that are not being met because of the lack of income.Aassistance is needed for helping the two get their affairs in order related to legal, household, and other needs. But the road ahead is still steep. She’s currently working with a lawyer to extend her workers' compensation so she can receive a surgery on her spine that she urgently needs. In the meantime, she’s struggling to keep up with her car payments which are her only means of transportation to medical appointments, and her children’s activities. Amid these challenges, there is light: her daughter recently made the beautiful decision to accept Christ and be baptized at our Lake Forest campus, a moment of joy and hope for the entire family. Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. The client is seeking assistance with her South Central Power bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on June 3, 2025, due to a past-due balance of $349.60. She is able to contribute $100 toward the amount owed.

The client recently experienced significant hardship, including a divorce followed by a car accident that was not her fault. As a result, she was temporarily unable to work and fell behind on her bills. She has since returned to full-time employment and now has a sustainable income.
