We are reaching out to ask for your help. A 7-month-old boy is in need after a devastating tragedy that took both of his parents. He is now being lovingly cared for by extended family who have opened their home to him in the midst of loss.

As they adjust to this sudden and life-changing transition, they are in urgent need of clothing for the baby. Specifically, we are looking for spring and summer clothing in size 12–18 months, including:

A devoted and supportive caregiver is currently providing care for a three-year-old toddler boy and a 10-month-old baby boy through Kinship Care. He has courageously taken on the full responsibility of raising both children on his own, without outside assistance. While he is in the process of applying for financial benefits to help support the children, there are still urgent needs.

One of the pressing needs is for two dressers to help organize the children's belongings. With two growing boys, having proper storage is essential for maintaining order and creating a safe, functional living environment. Having dedicated dressers for each child would greatly improve daily routines and ease the caregiver’s ability to manage the household. Any support in providing these furniture items would be deeply appreciated and would go a long way in supporting this caregiver’s selfless efforts.

A family with 3 foster children working toward reunification (just started their trial home pass) has had a death in the family. The family had a medically fragile 3 month old son and are in desperate need of financial assistance due to medical bills and funeral expenses. The father works and makes decent money, however the family has been struggling with the additional cost. They owe $950 total, however there are other community resources being utilized to bring down this cost (unknown amount at this time)

Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. The client is seeking assistance with her South Central Power bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on June 3, 2025, due to a past-due balance of $349.60. She is able to contribute $100 toward the amount owed.

The client recently experienced significant hardship, including a divorce followed by a car accident that was not her fault. As a result, she was temporarily unable to work and fell behind on her bills. She has since returned to full-time employment and now has a sustainable income.

Given her current circumstances and demonstrated effort toward self-sufficiency, she has been referred to InterFaith for possible assistance.

There are 7 people living in the home and only 1 person is able to work. The others are kids or adults on disability/recovering addicts. They have reached out to other programs but are not able to receive help at the moment. Anything can help.

There is a Neighbor's Ministry Mom that we have been working with for awhile that is in need of groceries. She experienced the unexpected loss of a child and has been dealing with a huge amount of grief which has been paralyzing at times. She is having trouble with her food stamp benefits and with her daughter out of school now for the summer, is in need of groceries to give them a strong start to the summer while she sorts out her food benefits.
