Story
Since the initial report on 5/12, the mother and her children have been experiencing housing instability and were living in their car. The agency was able to assist by arranging temporary lodging for the family at a motel for several nights. After leaving the motel, the family began staying with a friend who offered them a place to stay for a couple of weeks.
The mother is currently employed at Publix and has reliable transportation. She is making every effort to provide for her children despite significant challenges. She reported that her husband, the children’s stepfather, has left the family and is refusing to offer any support or assistance. The children are ages 7, 9, 11, 14, and 15. The family could use any monetary support to help them buy groceries, gas, toiletries, etc.
