Seven children, ages 1, 2, 2, 4, 5, 8 & 9, were just placed with their cousin. The 4 year old is a boy and the other children are girls. Bunk beds for the children were already requested by a different agency. However, the one year old still needs a safe sleeping space. She is tiny for her age so a pack n play would work. The caregiver’s home is small but the caregiver would like a dresser for clothes.

This request is to maintain placement and keep the children together, as to maintain licensing the children will need beds. The children have placement with their brother. They currently have beds on the floor but will not pass level licensing without beds. This caregiver needs your help with one bunk bed frame, two twin mattresses and bedding for girls ages 8 and 6. They also need a twin bed frame and twin mattress and bedding for the 5-year-old little boy.

A father that is working with the department was able to obtain his own housing. For the last few years the father was experiencing homelessness and often living with different friends for short periods of time. Not having stable housing prevented this father from having regular weekend visitation with his two sons, ages 6 & 7. Now that the father has obtained housing he will be able to have regular unsupervised weekend visits with his sons. The cost of the first months rent and security deposit has prevented the father form being able to obtain items for the home that will make it a comfortable home for him and his children. The items that the father is currently in need of include a small kitchen table to eat meals at, pots or pans and utensils for cooking, a set of dishes and silver wear, a couch or other sitting furniture for his living room.

Mom is a single mother working as a home health aid for her aging father. Mom has two kids, age 10 and 13. The 13 yr olds bed broke and he no longer has a bed . Financial resources are limited as mom pays for rent and other expenses on her own. This request will allow the child to sleep comfortably which will help with school attendance.

The child was placed with her grandparents where she shares a room with another child. The child is currently sleeping on a queen (or king)-sized bed that is shared with the other child that stays in the bedroom. The bunk bed will give both children their own safe sleeping space. This grandmother needs your help with a bunk bed frame and twin mattresses.

Mom has a child on the spectrum, so it is hard to find good day care. She is home with the kids until she can get services. That being the case, a kitchen table will help for the family's meals and for the kids to sit at and do activities. It will help the apartment to feel more like home. A hard working single mom of 4 children (age ranges between one and eleven) from the Goddard area has reached out for help. She works with foster children and cleans houses for income but stated that her work has slowed down this past month and she was unable to pay her electric bill. Initially she thought the company was going to work with her on lowering her payments but unfortunately the company is unable to accommodate. Her electricity is scheduled to be turned off on 6/5/25 if she is unable to pay the $347.00. Would anyone be willing to help this family?

A lady in a senior housing complex is in need of furniture and dishes for her apartment. She only has a bed and a tv. She is in need of dishes, sofa, table with chairs.

A mom at the apartments where we serve is in need of a bed. She has been having major issues with her back due to sleeping on her sofa. She does not work and cares for her disabled son. She is in need of a bed and dresser. Anything you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.

A member of our church is in need of assistance with his family's utility bill. This family has 6 children all under the age of 12. Both parents are employed and hardworking. Meeting this need will help alleviate this church family from this financial burden!
