A kinship family recently took placement of their two young grandsons, providing them with the stability and love they desperately need. However, like many relatives who step in during times of crisis, they were not financially prepared for the sudden addition of two growing boys to their household.

At the moment, both children are sharing a single queen bed, which is not a sustainable or comfortable long-term solution. Each child needs their own bed—a space of their own to rest, grow, and feel secure. Separate beds will not only support the children's physical and emotional well-being, but also help preserve the stability of this new family arrangement.

We are seeking two twin mattresses and bed frames to meet this urgent need. Your donation will help ensure this family can remain together in a safe and supportive environment.

The foster child attends Strawberry Fields Learning Center in League City. Her foster mom has been paying out of pocket for daycare weekly, even though she would be approved for no-cost daycare with this foster child. She is requesting one week of financial assistance for this.

Thank you for responding to this request for a 30 year old Single Mother whose husband had been very abusive. They have separated and he has moved on. After 6 months she has now been able to find a house (in supportive housing) She is so happy for the safe housing for her and her 10 month baby girl... We, the Sisters of Life, have know her throughout her pregnancy. For her this will be a real leg up. It has been a long road and a big struggle. She has worked many jobs to get to this point and stayed in many shelters... If these items could be given to her - her sense of a safe home would be complete... she is looking forward to her new more stable job and paying off all the debt she needed to accrue in order to get to this point. This baby 9 month old came into care from the hospital with significant brain damage, likely from shaken baby syndrome. The child's neurosurgeon recommended the "Crawligator" to help the baby with tummy time and help the baby to reach their developmental goals.

In partnership with the Santee School District, we’re seeking support to help a local student attend summer volleyball camps. The hope is to have the student enrolled in summer volleyball camps to support her social, emotional and behavioral learning over the summer. This student has struggled with attendance due to bullying and social skill development. The student expressed a desire to learn how to play volleyball. They believe by providing her with this opportunity to meet other local teens, learn new skills and have fun this summer she will gain much needed self-esteem and confidence skills that will support her as she transitions to her 8th grade school year. The student currently lives with her grandmother. One parent resides out of state, and the other lives in a different area of San Diego, limiting her support network. Given her circumstances, we are seeking assistance to cover the full cost of enrollment in all three volleyball camps, totaling $600.00. The first camp ($200) begins next week on June 16th, and we are hopeful that with support, we can get her enrolled in time.

This family we have helped before. She was removed from an abusive home and moved into Covington with her children and has struggled to make ends meet. Her apartment is now asking her to leave, but she has secured a place in Clifton but needs help moving some things to her new place. She has 2 children and has a very hard medical diagnosis that has been keeping her bills high. She will need a truck or trailer to haul some things. I have this valued at $10 because it's not really a monetary need. She has also requested to have someone sit with her to help her work out her financial budget. She is really doing her hardest to take care of her family.

Single mother of two was recently laid off due to her not having childcare. The mother was taken five-year-old child to work with her to continue to make ends meet. She is a recent divorce, and former husband is not willing to help. Family is facing eviction June 25, 2025, if mother doesn’t pay pass due rent ($1,192) and late fees.
