This family is a Kinship-Relative home. These grandparents are the foster parents for their four children, one of whom has a developmental disability. They are an extremely loving and supportive home, and want to provide the best care they can to keep their grandchildren together. They are beginning the process of adopting their grandchildren. They have requested assistance with their utility bill this month to take some financial pressure off of the family. They are very thankful for any support you can provide.

Quick update—our Safe Families mom who is undergoing chemotherapy and leaving tomorrow morning for Virginia with her son no longer needs help moving. She was able to get everything packed and ready, but as she prepares for a 19-hour drive, she could still use our support.

If anyone feels led, a gas card or food gift card (even something small) would go a long way in helping her get to her next chapter safely and with peace of mind. She was incredibly touched by the support already and said she would be so grateful for any help with travel costs.

A family been reunified and have moved into their own home and need assistance with a few things for their new home.

17 year old youth was recently reunified with his birthmother and the department is in the process of dismissing the case. The family has moved into their own apartment and are in need of a new couch as the one they currently own has broken. Birthmother is working full time while her son attends school and is on a tight budget in order to meet their needs in the home. The apartment is small so they are in need of a couch that will fit in their apartment.

There is a grandmother who is caring for her 2-year-old grandson as the mother and father are not capable of taking care of the child. In order to prevent the child entering foster care the grandmother is asking for a few items for the child. He was homeless with his parents and arrived at the grandmother with nothing. The child is in size 5 diapers, size c9 shoes and size 2t-3t clothing and socks. Wash cloths and towels. A gift card for the grandmother would be appreciated as well so that she may purchase the items.

I am requesting funding to help a 14 year old girl attend summer camp. She currently lives with her mother and older brother who is experiencing job and housing insecurity. The older brother is in and out of the home as he deals with staying out of the gang life. Despite all that she is dealing with this young lady continues to maintain her grades in school and a positive outlook on her situation. Attending camp will give this young lady a much needed reprieve from the current home situation and give her the encouragement that she needs to continue building on personal resilience and independence. Restore has been working with a family of two adults and 3 young children to assist them in getting settled in their new apartment. They lost their housing assistance in KS due to making too much income. They ended up having to move from KS to a cheaper apartment in MO. Both parents work - but with the expense of deposits, the move and cost increase of rent almost doubling, they are struggling to get on their feet. They found a way to make the deposits and initial rent but that really depleted them. This month they have been able to come up with all but $500 to cover the rent and utilities. We would like to help them with the remainder so they do not get behind and incur late fees. Once they get over the hump, they should be able to handle the expenses moving forward. If you would like to assist with any amount, it would be appreciated. This is a family we are walking beside and connecting with frequently hoping to show them support and the love of Christ. Please pray for them as they transition through many changes.

An EP apartment complex that the Wooddale Housing Assistance program partners with is starting a community garden for its residents. From the project leader: "This Saturday morning from 8:30 am to 11:30 or 12pm, we will be pulling weeds and getting the garden ready. After that I will purchase plants, dirt and mulch. Anyone that participates, can reap the benefits of the garden. Please let me know if anyone would like to assist or can even offer advice."

One of our partners has a mom who is expecting a baby on 7/9/25 who is in need of the following items. Mom is currently struggling financially and lacks family and friends’ support. She is anxious about not having anything for her little bundle of joy. Any help with the above items will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Mom was recently homeless - she's transitioning to new and more affordable apartment of her own. She needs appliances, as new apartment does not provide items listed. She is actively seeking employment, currently has no available finances to put towards these items. Mother with limited support and unable to seek assistance through family or friends.
