The caregiver is the paternal grandfather of the child who was very willing to assist with caring for the child until the parents get back on their feet. The child has behaviors that will require door alarms for the bedroom door to keep the child and family safety. The child is a five-year-old loving child that is looking forward to this move with her paternal grandfather. With this assistance, this will allow the CG to provide a safe environment for the child.

A dedicated father of three and proud military veteran who has always put his family first is in need of some support. After serving his country, he returned home committed to building a stable life for his wife and children. But recently, his family has faced a series of difficult setbacks.

His wife underwent emergency surgery and is unable to work full-time, creating financial strain. Then their only reliable vehicle—critical for getting to work and transporting the kids—suffered catastrophic engine failure. The repair costs are steep, but necessary for the family to stay on track.

Despite these challenges, this father is staying proactive. He’s enrolling in financial literacy classes to build a more secure future and reached out for guidance to help get through this difficult time.

In the short term, we're seeking support with basic needs—specifically groceries—so he can reallocate funds toward repairing the vehicle. Gift cards to Giant Eagle or other local grocery stores would help him feed the family over the next month.

Any contribution, big or small, would make a real difference. This veteran has shown incredible resilience and commitment to his family—now he could use a little help from his community in return.

Grandma has two of her grandchildren in her home. One child she has custody of, the other child is placed in her home (children has custody). The grandma is not employed and is struggling caring for her two grandchildren. Grandmother is receiving government assistance. The boys are currently sleeping on the couch in the living room. The boys are getting older and do not have there "own space" which causes conflict with grandma and the boys.

A lady in a senior housing complex is in need of furniture and dishes for her apartment. She only has a bed and a tv. She is in need of dishes, sofa, table with chairs.

A mom at the apartments where we serve is in need of a bed. She has been having major issues with her back due to sleeping on her sofa. She does not work and cares for her disabled son. She is in need of a bed and dresser. Anything you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.

I am currently working with a family to preserve a kinship placement. Aunt is caring for three nieces and placement occurred abruptly. Aunt was supposed to start new employment, but due to the need for care was put on hold which has resulted in a financial burden. The children have doctor appointments and summer activities that require transportation. Aunt needs assistance with purchase of gas to provide needed transportation.

The youth is significantly behind in school. He is unable to attend summer school due to the county not offering for his grade. The youth will need tutoring over the summer. Once the child receives this the service, he will then be able to function with his classmates and gain more confidence in and outside of the classroom.

A member of our church is in need of assistance with his family's utility bill. This family has 6 children all under the age of 12. Both parents are employed and hardworking. Meeting this need will help alleviate this church family from this financial burden!

We have an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of a single mother and her two young children. She’s working hard to provide for her family, but it’s tough to keep up with laundry when she can’t get to the laundromat. 
Right now, they’re sleeping on mattresses on the floor, and she’s seeking gently used washer and dryer units to ensure her kids have clean clothes. Additionally, bed frames would help restore their dignity and self-esteem.

I am requesting funding to help a 14 year old girl attend summer camp. She currently lives with her mother and older brother who is experiencing job and housing insecurity. The older brother is in and out of the home as he deals with staying out of the gang life. Despite all that she is dealing with this young lady continues to maintain her grades in school and a positive outlook on her situation. Attending camp will give this young lady a much needed reprieve from the current home situation and give her the encouragement that she needs to continue building on personal resilience and independence.
