A resilient young woman in foster care made the brave decision not to return to her abusive mother and stepfather. In her current placement, she brought up her grades, built a plan for her future, and found a lifelong family. Now, she’s moving into her own place through a Transitional Housing Program (THP), having been selected over 25 other applicants.

Because her placement was in a small town with no job opportunities, she wasn’t able to save money and still needs help securing a few basic necessities - bedding, silverware and knife set. She’ll also be starting college soon and is in need of a laptop to complete her schoolwork, apply for jobs, and build her independence.

This young woman has done everything right—she’s worked hard, stayed focused, and created a future she can be proud of. A little support right now could make all the difference in helping her begin this next chapter with confidence, dignity, and the tools she needs to succeed.

H, B and E are children currently living in a CYFD office. All 3 are non verbal and autistic. We are hoping to get some sensory, fidget and interactive toys such as: squishy balls, pop its, bendy tubes, spinners, wooden puzzles, fake foods like fruits and veggies, eggs etc, flash cards, leap pads with books to be read along with, busy boards/busy books, montessori toys, light up toys, interactive books on planets and animals, etc to help these children regulate in an office setting. Ages of the children range from 8 to 17. Any help would be really appreciated! Either an outright purchase by a donor of any/all listed items or a gift card would be wonderful. Thank you!

I have a young lady ct just out of jail about 5 week ago trying to find and has found a part time job at sonic but due to being a single parent with 2 kids she is having to live with her parents whom also have guardianship of her kids right now. My ct doesn't have the best relationships with her parents that have her kids but she is trying to help them and help with her kids. The parents have exhausted there money on her lawyer expenses and need huge help with some small things in the kitchen to make good meal for the kids. They are in need of pots and pans as they have been cooking all microwave meals because a lack of kitchen pot and pans and utensils. So they need that along with silverware. My ct got some soap for her kids but at the kids age they are clumsy and poured all the body wash they had on the floor and now needs more. My ct still with a growing daughter pull ups are expensive and still needs 3t pulls up while trying potty train.

A single mom of two lost her job in December. She has recently taken placement of her niece. She is needing help paying her rent this month. She has a new job but is trying catch up financially.

Cobb county DFCS is hosting a graduation event on Friday 6/13/25 for the 17 youth successfully graduating (high school, GED, or college) and we had a photographer lined up who has had a family emergency. We are seeking a photographer for the event to celebrate this milestone with our foster youth. The photographer would be needed from around 10:30-1:30 on Friday. Payment may be feasible, but would not be able to be provided until after the event due to the year closing out with accounting and being unable to obtain a check by Friday.

I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

An aunt is taking in her nephew that the mother lost custody of and the uncle took him in and now he recently lost custody. The child is 14 years old and the aunt is in need of a twin bed and mattress. The child is currently in a boys home so the aunt is going to take him in. Child needs clothing( XL shirt, 38x34 pants, (size 12) shoes, socks, (large) underwear and hygiene products.

We have a brave mother with young children who is a survivor of recent domestic violence, and we have been supporting this family in their journey toward stability. Unfortunately, the program we had arranged for them is no longer able to accept them. We urgently appeal to the community to help provide temporary housing for this mother and her children for the month, ensuring they have a safe roof over their heads. Meeting this need would not only offer immediate shelter but also give them the essential time to find another suitable program. This mother is currently 8 months pregnant, making it even more critical to secure a safe space for her and her children. Please join us in helping this young mother keep her family together and create a plan for their future.

A family of 6 with kids who are 12, 10, 3, 1 has moved into the SCV and is need of support. The father is currently looking for work to help support the family but currently they don't have any income. The family has rented an apartment, but they do not have sufficient beds or furniture for the family. The three year old is in need of a twin bed/mattress. The family also needs a dining room table and a couch. Any support would be helpful. Gently used furniture would be welcomed and appreciated.
