She is actively looking for new employment and has been agreeable to several different DCF services and recommendations to assist her family in this stressful time. She is a full time caregiver to 14 and 16 year old children. She splits custody with her ex husband for her younger two children. She has been extremely cooperative with DCF and is hopeful the DCF case can be a starting point for a new life for her and her children. She is able to pay 700 dollars of her rent this month, however she will still owe 1100 dollars. Her rent is typically paid via venmo, but under the current circumstances her leasing company is willing to accept a check. She is grateful for any assistance offered to her in this stressful time.

This was an emergency placement and the child is in need for these items. The father of a family of five suddenly passed away without any life insurance. The family is not only mourning this profound loss but also finds itself in a financial crisis. In addition to funeral expenses, their one working vehicle is experiencing electrical issues and cannot be used until it is repaired. They also need to replace their oven.

This request is on behalf of a 17 year old male high school student. December 2024 the student was hospitalized for mental health issues. Student was released into his mother's custody 4 days after being admitted to the hospital. Once at home student was met with mixed reactions about the experience from various family members and was told that he was weak and needed to toughen up. Despite the lack of moral support the student has began to make progress in the right direction with the help of weekly therapy sessions and mentoring from the youth pastor at Crenshaw Christian Center. Attending summer camp would give this student a much needed break from his home life and an opportunity to find much needed support and encouragement among his peers. This young man has attended various college tours and wants to pursue occupational therapy upon high school graduation.

I am submitting this request on behalf of a 17 year old high school male that is currently staying at a friends house due to being evicted out of his former home. This student is the oldest of 4 siblings. Mom is staying in temporary housing with his younger siblings and is sending what little finances she has where the student is staying. The student would greatly benefit from attending summer camp and would help to relieve some of the financial burden on mom. Student's father is not actively involved in his life and attending summer camp will give the student access to positive male role models as he continues to navigate his life.
