A young mother and her child have never been out on their own. The mother recently became homeless and does not have much in the way of familial support. She was able to get into her own apartment with Canyon Housing Authority after couch hopping and not having anywhere to go. This is their first place, and she is moving in with practically nothing.

Great Aunt has placement of three children, ages 9, 3, and 1. The oldest is a boy and the other children are girls. They do not have beds and the aunt cannot afford to purchase three beds. I am requesting assistance for two twin beds, mattresses, and bedding and a crib, sheets, and crib mattress. The aunt could also use diapers and wipes size 5-6. Child is allergic to Huggies.

OKDHS is working a prevention case with a family with two young children. The children are in an out of home placement to prevent them from entering foster care. This safety plan monitor is providing a safe home for these children, but she has encountered several obstacles. She is behind on her rent due to not receiving her regular check for this month. She owes $1378.05 to get caught up and not face imminent eviction. She has been working with community resources but none have pledged to help her pay yet. She is facing possible eviction 6/14/25. She has been to court and is trying to work out a payment plan with her apartment administration. She needs to get them $400 as soon as possible. We are asking for help with this urgent need so that she can keep these children at risk of going into foster care in her home and prevent eviction.

The family consists of the mother, father and their two children who are 2 and 6 months. The mother has been struggling with post partum and does not have a vehicle to get to counseling. She is attempting to find a job currently to help pay bills and has an interview on Sunday. The father in the home is the only one working. They do not qualify for state assistance due to one of them working in the home. All of their money recently went to their electricity, which has went up during the summer months. Their rent is $825 and they currently only have $200. Their landlord said she needed majority of the rent by 6/06/25 or they will get evicted. They do not have anywhere to go if they were to get evicted. Any financial assistance is appreciated to gather up as much money as possible to keep them from being evicted.

Parents who are on limited income are needing assistance paying a $750 Deposit so they can rent a house. If this need is met, it may allow the children to be reunified with them. If this need is not met, it may mean the children will have to move to another foster home and this could be in another part of the State since there is such a shortage of foster homes. The biological father has a very strong work ethic and the mother recently started a job, but they do not have the money to pay this deposit and rent also. This is an urgent need. This request is on behalf of a 17 year old male high school student. December 2024 the student was hospitalized for mental health issues. Student was released into his mother's custody 4 days after being admitted to the hospital. Once at home student was met with mixed reactions about the experience from various family members and was told that he was weak and needed to toughen up. Despite the lack of moral support the student has began to make progress in the right direction with the help of weekly therapy sessions and mentoring from the youth pastor at Crenshaw Christian Center. Attending summer camp would give this student a much needed break from his home life and an opportunity to find much needed support and encouragement among his peers. This young man has attended various college tours and wants to pursue occupational therapy upon high school graduation.

I am submitting this request on behalf of a 17 year old high school male that is currently staying at a friends house due to being evicted out of his former home. This student is the oldest of 4 siblings. Mom is staying in temporary housing with his younger siblings and is sending what little finances she has where the student is staying. The student would greatly benefit from attending summer camp and would help to relieve some of the financial burden on mom. Student's father is not actively involved in his life and attending summer camp will give the student access to positive male role models as he continues to navigate his life. A single mom in Cannon Falls is requesting assistance to replace a window in her trailer home. She already has a new window to install.

Mom has a child on the spectrum, so it is hard to find good day care. She is home with the kids until she can get services. That being the case, a kitchen table will help for the family's meals and for the kids to sit at and do activities. It will help the apartment to feel more like home. ALL THE ITEMS NEEDED ARE AVAILABLE FROM RISE CHURCH CP INVENTORY. NO FURTHER DONATIONS ARE NEEDED.
