Our heartfelt goal is to provide 1,000 beautifully filled book bags with essential school supplies that empower these children to thrive in their education. By reaching this milestone, we can help alleviate the burden of back-to-school shopping and ensure that every child has the necessary tools to succeed.

We are seeking donations and support for school supplies tailored for elementary, middle, and high school students, including:

• Pens and pencils
• Calculators
• Crayons and colored pencils
• Erasers and pencil holders
• Notebook paper and ABC tracing books
• Highlighters and composition tablets
• -3- and 5-subject notebooks
• Scissors and glue

Pike DHR is working with a 17 year old girl, who just graduated from high school. Her mother left her and her sister alone and went to another state. She is currently staying with a member of the community. This child is working this summer to save up money for her cosmetology school kit. The kit is $600, and she has saved up everything except $325. She is attending the Troy School of Cosmetology. She is asking for the remaining balance so she can start school in the fall.

Help a Student Start 9th Grade with Confidence, as he’s faced years of academic struggles, behavioral challenges, and uncertainty- until his recent ADHD diagnosis finally brought clarity. His single mother, raising six children on her own, has been supported him juggling school meetings, doctor visits, and daily responsibilities, all while keeping hope alive for her children’s futures. Now, with the right medical support, he’s finally on the path to success. But, in order to continue progressing he will need glasses as his vision is not clear. With the first day of school just around the corner, we’re seeking a $200 pledge to cover the cost of an eye exam and prescription glasses through our trusted, discounted partner on Atlanta’s Upper Westside. These glasses may seem small- but to this student, they represent focus, confidence, and the chance to finally thrive. The glasses are also necessary as he is beginning his academic individualized education plan. Your support can make a life changing difference for his education. a single mother of 3 children is currently sleeping on an air mattress due to one of the children not having a bed. Mother is in need of a twin mattress, frame and sheet set. mother is currently working but is having a hard time making ends meet.

A young expectant mom recently moved into her new place is seeking some assistance with furniture items. This young adult has faced hardships during her residence at her last apartment with the new management team not complying with her lease agreement, leaving her with no hot water and improperly evicting her. Thankfully she was able to move into her new place. As she actively still tries to locate employment, it is becoming a bit difficult for her to continue to sleep on the floor because she no longer has a bed nor does she have an air conditioner to stay cool and dry during these hot summer days. She is asking for assistance with a bed, couch, dining room set, dresser, bath towels and wash cloths and an AC unit. She is open to accepting secondhand items with the hope of making her new place feel more like a home. This request involves some special circumstances resulting in items needing to be delivered to TNFC office rather than the family's home.

A Karen family has recently been able to move into a house and now needs to take care of the yard. They really could use help getting a working used or a new mower to be able to take care of the lawn - and if someone wants to help set them up and show them how to use also!

A family that received a crib for a kinship placement could use a kitchen table, chairs, and a couch. This will help the family with ongoing needs.
