A mother of three (boys 6 and 4, girl 3) is unemployed and her phone broke. She cannot stay in touch with her treatment providers and is unable to communicate with her family time supervisor. This is impacting her ability to find better work, stay engaged with her children, and work towards reunification. A phone and Straight Talk phone card would be so helpful to this mom and would help her stay on top of changing schedules and reunite her family. Thank you for your generosity!

An aunt is caring for her 8 month old niece, and is transporting her to all appointments, family time visits, and more. They live far from many of the appointments, so need some assistance with gas. Grandparents who took in their 14-year-old granddaughter needs assistance with the electric bill through Evergy. The grandparents got a shut off notice of $392.00. The grandparents are on a fixed income and are retired, the grandparents are needing assistance so they can keep their grandchildren in the home. Could I get 4 people to donate 100 dollars to assist this family. The family would be grateful for any assistance. The grandparents have also reached out to community resources with no luck on assisting.

We are seeking assistance to provide routers for the single mothers in our maternity home. Access to reliable internet is essential for our moms to complete parenting classes, conduct job searches, and connect to vital resources that support their journey toward stability and independence. With internet access, these women will have the tools they need to: participate in online parenting and life skills classes, apply for jobs and prepare for interviews, and access critical resources, including housing applications, educational opportunities, and telehealth services. Your support in providing funds for routers would make a significant difference in empowering our moms to achieve their goals.

Kristy Crill of the Dive and a fellow member of CCA has been working with a currently homeless young father get his life back on track. This young man is working two jobs and is sleeping in his car until he gets housing through Chatham County on June 20th. Kristy has asked us to fund a hotel room for him until June 20th at the cost of approximately $90/night including taxes. She has vetted him and feels very strongly that with the proper support, he will be back on the path of stability. Both he and Kristy have reached out to other local charities but all are either unhelpful or already at capacity. She asks for your prayers for this young man.

We are supporting a single mother who has recently reunited with her children with weekly meals and a prayer team. She has requested assistance with her utility bill to get caught up. If you are able to help strengthen this bio family with financial contributions, we will contact you to log on to the City of Monroe website to pay the bill directly.

As you may be aware, Dave Petke is in the hospital with a UTI and blood pressure problems. Sharon is not able to be at the hospital all the time, it wears her out and her health is not good enough for her to be there with him all the time. She’s tried just calling to check in, this morning she sat on hold for 45 minutes and had to call back three times before she finally got someone to answer. Someone is needed this week to sit with Dave each day between the hours of 8am-12pm to give Sharon time to get ready and get over there each day to be with him. I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

One of our newly arrived families has moved into apartments that have no air conditioning and the family has no fans. We all know how hot it gets and the adults and the children can get overheated. If anyone can provide a free standing or window air conditioner or a couple fans, that would be wonderful. Thank you
