We at Grace Family Love (GFL) have welcomed a young lady home who is attempting to begin again. Part of our program focuses on healthy independence and autonomy. Our girls must learn to budget (we provide workshops) and shop for themselves with whatever they've earn from work. Unfortunately this young lady had her personal documents taken, so is unable to be given a job in spite of being selected after multiple interviews. We are working on getting her documents; meanwhile, she is in need of a change of an outfit and a card to use for food for her own shopping as they are responsible for learning to budget for their food for the month. Having these two needs met would help her begin to practice healthy autonomy until we get her birth certificate and other identification card in. Thank you for your loving support.

We are requesting support in the form of $50 gift cards for six new youth entering our emergency shelter to help them purchase underwear, basic clothing, and shoes. Many of the youth who arrive at Positive Impact International come with only the clothes on their backs and no access to essential items. Providing a gift card allows them the dignity of choosing items that fit their size, style, and comfort needs—something most of them have not had the opportunity to do. This small but meaningful gesture helps restore a sense of normalcy, boosts self-esteem, and reinforces our commitment to treating every youth with compassion and respect as they begin their journey to stability and healing.

A foster parent has agreed to take a teenage male. In order for this to occur we need a bed for him. This foster parent had become a provisional foster parent to take in a family member and then agreed to also take this foster child as a regular foster parent. The teenage foster child was able to be placed in the home instead of a group home as many foster homes are not willing to take in a teenager.
It would be great to offer him the support in able to take care of a teenage male!!

Mom and 4 yr old reside in a motorhome. The roof is leaking. The family is in need of a cover to protect the roof.

A single mother of five is taking important steps toward rebuilding a stable and secure environment for her family. After facing displacement, she has recently secured permanent housing. While this marks a critical turning point, the family is starting over with no furniture or essential household items and is living on a limited, fixed income. Providing these items will not only help meet the family's immediate needs but also contribute significantly to creating a stable, nurturing home where the children can thrive.

We are supporting a single mother who has recently reunited with her children with weekly meals and a prayer team. She has requested assistance with her utility bill to get caught up. If you are able to help strengthen this bio family with financial contributions, we will contact you to log on to the City of Monroe website to pay the bill directly.

As you may be aware, Dave Petke is in the hospital with a UTI and blood pressure problems. Sharon is not able to be at the hospital all the time, it wears her out and her health is not good enough for her to be there with him all the time. She’s tried just calling to check in, this morning she sat on hold for 45 minutes and had to call back three times before she finally got someone to answer. Someone is needed this week to sit with Dave each day between the hours of 8am-12pm to give Sharon time to get ready and get over there each day to be with him. Please do not share this need beyond our church family. You will be contacted with specifics of where to go when you select your day. Thank you!

I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

One of our newly arrived families has moved into apartments that have no air conditioning and the family has no fans. We all know how hot it gets and the adults and the children can get overheated. If anyone can provide a free standing or window air conditioner or a couple fans, that would be wonderful. Thank you

I am reaching out on behalf of one of our Children’s Church students who is currently in foster care. Her mother has recently secured employment and is in the process of transitioning to a new home. While this is a positive step forward for their family, it has also placed a significant financial strain on them. Due to these circumstances, the family is unable to afford the registration fee for summer camp. However, we strongly believe that this child would greatly benefit from the experience—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Camp would provide her with a safe, uplifting environment and a chance to grow in confidence and faith during a time of major life change.
