This child was on the run with the mother. We were able to locate the child in Atlanta GA. The child did not have anything with her when we got her. This child will be needing summer clothes and shoes. This has been a traumatic experience for this child. Thank you for your help for this child.

A mother and her child, who have recently triumphed over significant domestic violence challenges, are seeking assistance with transportation to attend medical appointments and access domestic violence services. With a limited income, especially after losing a primary source of support from her ex-boyfriend who is no longer permitted to contact the family due to safety concerns this mother is in a difficult situation. We are hopeful to secure a Quick Trip gas card by tomorrow morning during the TDM, which would greatly alleviate their transportation expenses and support their journey toward healing and stability.

Mrs. S, mother of two is a single mother, with the economy and prices rising. She has been getting behind on some of her bills. Although she is a hard working mother, she was not able to come up with this month's rent due to having to missed some days of work. This due to illness, which cause her to be short on her checks. She has never ask for help, and this time she is embarrassed to even ask, but we know she needs the help. DCCCA will be supporting with some funds, but we are still short and are requesting your help with the additional $215 needed to cover the entire month. The family consists of a single mother and her three young children (ages 4, 3, and 1). The mother has been a stay at home mom for the last almost five years. She is a kind, loving, and patient mother with her children. Each of the children are observed to respond very naturally to their mother's presence and comfort. She has recently become estranged from her husband and has been left without any access to financial resources. Despite her recent hardships, she has been undeterred! She got her children into daycare and is working and attempting to provide all that she can for her three small children (including engaging in a number of services to help to continue in the enhancement of her protective capacities). One of the things she is in great need of is a car seat. She previously had the Graco TriRide 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat-Highback Booster, Forward & Rear facing modes (suitable from newborn to preschooler!). This mother would greatly benefit from this car seat and would appreciate the community's support in helping meet this need. Please consider meeting this family's need of a car seat? I believe it will be just another way to show this mother her community has stepped up to surround her during this difficult season in her life. Thank you so much!

A kinship placement is looking for a bike for a teenager. This would strengthen the family by allowing the teen an opportunity to cope with biking as well as independence for socializing and appointments. A gender neutral or male bike would be preferred. It is okay if the bike is used. It would also be helpful if there was a bike lock, too.

We are supporting a single mother who has recently reunited with her children with weekly meals and a prayer team. She has requested assistance with her utility bill to get caught up. If you are able to help strengthen this bio family with financial contributions, we will contact you to log on to the City of Monroe website to pay the bill directly.

As you may be aware, Dave Petke is in the hospital with a UTI and blood pressure problems. Sharon is not able to be at the hospital all the time, it wears her out and her health is not good enough for her to be there with him all the time. She’s tried just calling to check in, this morning she sat on hold for 45 minutes and had to call back three times before she finally got someone to answer. Someone is needed this week to sit with Dave each day between the hours of 8am-12pm to give Sharon time to get ready and get over there each day to be with him. Please do not share this need beyond our church family. You will be contacted with specifics of where to go when you select your day. Thank you!

I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

One of our newly arrived families has moved into apartments that have no air conditioning and the family has no fans. We all know how hot it gets and the adults and the children can get overheated. If anyone can provide a free standing or window air conditioner or a couple fans, that would be wonderful. Thank you

I am reaching out on behalf of one of our Children’s Church students who is currently in foster care. Her mother has recently secured employment and is in the process of transitioning to a new home. While this is a positive step forward for their family, it has also placed a significant financial strain on them. Due to these circumstances, the family is unable to afford the registration fee for summer camp. However, we strongly believe that this child would greatly benefit from the experience—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Camp would provide her with a safe, uplifting environment and a chance to grow in confidence and faith during a time of major life change.
