Single head of a household that is experiencing financial hardship. Mom is not working mow due to alot of medical issues. Mom has horrible back, shoulder pains,.She is on auto immune medications. She recently was put on heart monitoring. She has 2 sons ages 4 and 7. They have out grown their toddler mattresses and would like to have assistance in getting them new mattresses. She has had a bunk set donated with no mattresses and at this time she don't know when she could get them. Your hrlp will be very much appreciated

Mom needs help with paying daycare provider. Mom is currently living in a one-bedroom apartment with her two children and another family. Mom works at a restaurant part time and cannot work currently due to being bedside for one of her children. Mom is currently receiving SNAP assistance, but continues to struggle with paying rent at 450.00, and 60 in utilities. Daycare costs are 300.00 a month. Mom has requested immediate assistance for day care, because one of her children is still requiring supervision while she is still at the bedside.

After years of working on her sobriety and maintaining a sober lifestyle, a mother and son have the opportunity to reunify! The youth has worked his treatment plan and the mother has continued to maintain a healthy and positive lifestyle to provide for her child. Home passes are beginning this Friday (6/27), but the mother will be making the drive to & from East TN to make this happen. After a couple successful home passes, we will return to court to ask for a trial home visit to begin. Any help with gas would be greatly appreciated by this family.

I have added two requested for cards to this submission. One gas card will be needed for this weekend, June 27th. A second card will be needed for the weekend of July 11th.

There is a 30-ish year-old young man living at apartments in Castle Rock. He is paralyzed from the chest down and in a wheelchair. He was granted special permission to be at these apartments even though he doesn't qualify due to his age. He receives food from Help & Hope on a monthly basis when they visit him. His family lives in Elizabeth and has even less money than this young man. It is noted that sometimes he will give his money to his mom/dad so they can eat.

Help & Hope has been going to this gentleman's apartment on Wednesdays when they deliver food to him, and have been making his bed and doing light chores for him.

Looking for a weekly/monthly volunteer(s) who would like to visit this young man and assist with light chores?

A single mom is requesting assistance with birthday items for her daughter. She has been out of her care for about a year now while she is working on making herself a better mother for her kids. She is making a lot of progress, but has hit some barriers getting a job so she can provide for her birthday. Mom is asking for any financial assistance to be able to get her some items from the dollar store she has been wanting. Things like stick on nails, and coloring books. If this need is met it will help strengthen and grow their relationship.

Client is working and is the sole provider for his infant, two teen daughters, and wife. They are rebuilding from the furniture they lost in last year's storm. Client is in need of a crib for their son. Client shared that they are co-sleeping but for safety purposes they would like their son to have his own crib.

One of the men who attended our Pathway Church services at the Sedgwick County Jail, was recently released from jail. This individual embraced his faith while in jail and consistently attended and participated in the nightly Bible study classes. He has not only been faithful in his own spiritual growth but also actively involved in mentoring and encouraging younger inmates. To help him with his transition, he moved to Ivery House as part of Recovery Hub. With the relationships he has developed, he plans to stay connected with our church community by attending Sunday services and participating in the Thursday night men’s group. By covering the cost of his stay, it will give him a safe and stable place to live as he begins to re-establish himself in the workforce and the community.

We have two Fostering Together youth that are starting new schools in August. They have both had recent growth spurts and are in need of new clothes and shoes for back to school. We want then to feel comfortable and confident with this fresh start. Please consider donating any amount towards this need. We have a single mom with her two children and their pet that we just moved into an apartment, but the landlord wants a pet deposit and will not waive it although he did discount it. Any small donations will be greatly appreciated

A single mom raising three children is in need of one large or two sm-med window unit air conditioners. After months of reaching out to her landlord she has finally been told that the central a/c will not be repaired and it is her responsibility to provide window units. She is currently unemployed and struggling with food security so purchasing these units is not feasible for her.
