There are 2 elementary age girls are who are in foster care but placed in a kinship home with their grandparents. The family has purchased 2 twin beds for the girls but need new mattresses and box springs for the beds. The beds were purchased to accommodate the girls in this kinship home. We would love for someone in the community to assist these grandparents with the purchase of mattresses and box springs for the 2 twin beds.

The wonderful non-relative caregiver has accepted placement of a 2 year old male. The caregiver has children of her own and is not currently receiving funding for the non-relative youth. The caregiver has asked for assistance obtaining clothing size 3t, shoes size 9c, potty chair, high chair, and plastic bins with drawers to use as a dresser for the youth's clothing. Working with a newly expecting mother who is needing some work pants (Black - size 2x & 3x) Also, she is needing a few pairs of shorts and summer shirts (size 2x-3x) as she has none. She has limited support and was recently homeless but has been able to locate a place and gain employment. Thanks!

We are currently assisting a single mother residing in Brooklyn who is caring for her four children. One of her daughters is actively enrolled in our mentorship program, and we have been closely supporting the family as they navigate significant challenges. The mother is facing ongoing housing insecurity and currently has extremely limited access to basic resources. She has exhausted her food stamp benefits and is unable to afford sufficient food for her family, placing them at risk of nutritional hardship. In addition to food insecurity, the family is in urgent need of essential home furnishings. One of the daughters does not have a dresser, and the family is also in need of three mattresses for the children. These items are critical to helping the family maintain a safe, organized, and dignified living environment. The mother has a scheduled appointment with the Human Resources Administration (HRA) in an effort to secure further support. In the meantime, we are seeking immediate assistance with the following: -One dresser for the daughter -Three mattresses for the children Providing these basic necessities would significantly reduce the stress this family is experiencing and greatly contribute to their well-being and sense of security. We deeply appreciate your consideration and any support you are able to provide during this critical time.

Bio mom is beginning overnights, but needs a hotel to give her an extra night each week until trial reunification begins. Bio mom has done fantastic during her case, and her children are ready to be home with her full-time. This would help the family continue to bond and strengthen their family unit.

We are supporting a single mother who has recently reunited with her children with weekly meals and a prayer team. She has requested assistance with her utility bill to get caught up. If you are able to help strengthen this bio family with financial contributions, we will contact you to log on to the City of Monroe website to pay the bill directly.

As you may be aware, Dave Petke is in the hospital with a UTI and blood pressure problems. Sharon is not able to be at the hospital all the time, it wears her out and her health is not good enough for her to be there with him all the time. She’s tried just calling to check in, this morning she sat on hold for 45 minutes and had to call back three times before she finally got someone to answer. Someone is needed this week to sit with Dave each day between the hours of 8am-12pm to give Sharon time to get ready and get over there each day to be with him. Please do not share this need beyond our church family. You will be contacted with specifics of where to go when you select your day. Thank you!

I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

One of our newly arrived families has moved into apartments that have no air conditioning and the family has no fans. We all know how hot it gets and the adults and the children can get overheated. If anyone can provide a free standing or window air conditioner or a couple fans, that would be wonderful. Thank you

I am reaching out on behalf of one of our Children’s Church students who is currently in foster care. Her mother has recently secured employment and is in the process of transitioning to a new home. While this is a positive step forward for their family, it has also placed a significant financial strain on them. Due to these circumstances, the family is unable to afford the registration fee for summer camp. However, we strongly believe that this child would greatly benefit from the experience—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Camp would provide her with a safe, uplifting environment and a chance to grow in confidence and faith during a time of major life change.
