Children have been taken care of by paternal grandmother. They live with cousins as well and have no furniture. She is asking for two sets of twin bunk beds, one twin bed, two full sized beds, and a sleeper couch for her to sleep on as well. I observed home with only three lawn chairs in living room and two mattresses in one of the bedrooms and some toys, but no other furniture.

Children do not have beds and have a small space for how many people are living in home.

Hotel assistance needed for a mother and her 12yo son. The family has been homeless since November 2024. The mother is older and has a lot of medical complications making things very difficult for her. The family has to be out of their current housing by June 14th with nowhere to go. The family does not have transportation and has limited income. Any help is appreciated.

I am writing to advocate on behalf of a dedicated single father who recently relocated to our community with his three young children in search of a safer, more stable environment and a brighter future. Since arriving, he has made significant strides, including securing stable housing and creating a supportive home for his family.

Despite his progress, the family is currently facing a critical need: the lack of a washer and dryer. With three young children, access to clean clothing is essential for maintaining health, dignity, and a sense of normalcy. This gap places an additional strain on the family’s daily life.

At present, the father is unemployed but actively searching for work. His efforts have been challenged by the lack of reliable and affordable childcare. Nonetheless, he remains fully committed to building a better life for his children and is taking every possible step toward self-sufficiency.

To help meet their immediate and essential needs, we are seeking support in obtaining the following items:

The family consists of mom and her three children. She works hard to care for them. She has requested assistance with new beds for the two oldest children (twin bed frame + mattress) as well as diapers for the youngest child. The family currently has bunk beds but the mattresses have worn out and the mother has requested two separate beds for the children, rather than bunk beds. DSS is also assisting with putting in referrals for services for the family. Please consider helping this family!

A loving single father is doing his best to care for his young daughter while living on a fixed income through Social Security. As a disabled parent with limited resources and no support from child support, providing for his daughter’s growing needs has become increasingly difficult.

He is currently in need of clothing for his daughter. With each season and growth spurt, the cost of essentials adds up, and right now, he’s struggling to keep up. Providing clothing would not only meet a basic need, but also lift a heavy burden from this dedicated father’s shoulders and bring comfort and dignity to his little girl. Single mother of two was recently laid off due to her not having childcare. The mother was taken five-year-old child to work with her to continue to make ends meet. She is a recent divorce, and former husband is not willing to help. Family is facing eviction June 25, 2025, if mother doesn’t pay pass due rent ($1,192) and late fees.

Family of four is facing eviction July 17, 2025. Family needs $7,000 to keep their family together and current home. Father recently laid off from work and is looking for long term employment. Father is a licensed painter and willing to work.

A young family of 2 children ages 1 and 7 years old are requesting a dryer as they moved into a house from an apartment. The couple have been here from Venezuela for about 2.5 years and help out at Centro Cristiano a Las Naciones with leading music. They moved from an apartment which had a washer and dryer and now they need to provide for their own. The father is looking for work and does odd jobs to help pay for rent, bills, food, clothing, etc. A dryer will help mom take care of her kids so that they will be able to attend school and help their hygiene. A single mother of 5 children missed quite some time from work due to unforeseen behavior issues with her 7-year-old son, who has since been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Due to these conditions, her son was not able to stay in school full days and she had to stop working for seven months until she was able to get him approved through his insurance for an in school one-on-one counselor, a smaller classroom setting and also a 504/IEP plan. Now that he has those, she has been able to get another job but won’t get paid until June 30th. She has fallen behind on her rent and several other bills. I am requesting help with the following bills: rent for May $833, she has worked out a payment plan with her landlord for the remaining balance if she can get May’s rent paid; light bill $274 and that is with an approval for cooling assistance from social services which starts on 6/15, her disconnect is for 6/16; water bill $54.37 which also has a disconnect for 6/16. I am also requesting assistance with food and gas money. Mom reached out to her social worker about all these requests, but worker was not able to process her snap application in time for her to receive benefits for June, so she won’t receive any snap benefits until July 4. She also needs money for gas to get to her job.
