The youth was recently located after being on the run from the Agency for over 230 days. Upon returning to care, the youth had no personal belongings or clothing aside from what they were wearing. We are requesting a $200 Visa gift card to help meet their immediate needs and support their reintegration into care.

We have a single homeless father who has been trying his best to take care of his son while trying to find a job and daycare. He is in need of hotel stay until God opens the door for him,

The family has recently moved into a larger home to ensure all the children have their own space and time to adjust to their new normal. The family is in need of furniture for this new home such as a coach and full-size bed and frame for the kinship child. OhioKAN has helped this family with first month's rent and deposit to ensure they get off on the right food in their new home. In addition to this the family is working to get the kinship child's death benefits transferred to him to allow for him to start building his savings for the future. The family of 6 has applied for food stamps and is receiving around $50 a month, at this time they have requested a review however this takes time and has left them with ever rising grocery bills. While the family waits for the review of their food stamps application to go through. We are asking for support to ensure that food is still on the table for this family through the summer months with all the children being at home right now. Gift cards to places like Walmart, Kroger, or Aldi are all greatly appreciated!

A devoted and loving caregiver is currently raising her 11-year-old grandson and 4-year-old granddaughter, providing them with a safe, stable, and nurturing home. Despite facing many challenges, she continues to pour her heart into giving these children the love, care, and security they deserve.

She is currently living with congestive heart failure, which has made daily life increasingly difficult. While managing her own health, she remains committed to meeting the daily needs of the children. Her car recently broke down, but she is working with OhioKAN to resolve the repair needs so she can continue attending vital medical appointments and ensure the children receive the therapeutic services they rely on.

In the meantime, this family is in urgent need of support to help cover their past due electric bill. Maintaining utilities is critical for their well-being, especially given her health condition and the young children in her care.

Any support—no matter how big or small—would make a meaningful difference in their lives and would be deeply appreciated by this strong, resilient caregiver and the children who depend on her.

This request is on behalf of a Hope Florida participant that is a single mom with 4 sons. This mom and children are facing a very difficult time after having been displaced from their home. She is the doing the best she can to provide for her children and is urgent need of support with basic hygiene necessities. This family have lost all they had due to being displaced. This request is for assistance with diapers size 4 and 8, wipes, clothing for the 4 children and a gas card. Your help will make a significant difference in easing her burden. She has 4 sons their clothing sizes are 2T, 5T, size 8 boys and size 12-14 boys. I’m supporting a family made up of a mother and her two children. They recently moved to a cheaper apartment to save money. They had to throw out a lot of their things because of an insect problem. Right now, they’re asking if it’s possible to get two mattresses with bases, so the kids have somewhere to sleep.

DHHS started working with the family due to educational neglect concerns for one of the children in the home. There are 5 children under the age of 10 involved in this case. In March 2025, four of the children came into the custody of their father full time and DHHS has been helping their father with getting resources for the children care. In May 2025, the fifth child (10 months old) came to live with dad. Dad has been working on finding beds for all of the children during this time and was able to get a bulk bed frame for one of the rooms. However, he needs mattress for the bed.

We are requesting help getting two twin mattresses for the bed for the children in this home.

A young mom and dad of three small children are needing assistance with childcare for the summer. They have secured more affordable childcare but it does not begin until September. Currently childcare costs are 275.00 a week for three children (including one infant). Mom and Dad are able to pay 175 out of pocket but need help with the rest. They have been able to secure part of the money needed from friends but are still needing 800 dollars to ensure all three kids have safe childcare through the summer. In September, the cost will decrease to the point where mom and dad can afford it on their own.

Single mother of two was recently laid off due to her not having childcare. The mother was taken five-year-old child to work with her to continue to make ends meet. She is a recent divorce, and former husband is not willing to help. Family is facing eviction June 25, 2025, if mother doesn’t pay pass due rent ($1,192) and late fees.
