Please, help this family with a 40 gallon gas water heater. This family has worked really hard towards reunification, they have inherited a house and there are things that need to be worked on before the children can come home. Having a home with a working water heater is one of the few things holding this family back from being together. Anything helps. Thank you!

We have a parent who has visits each week with his child, and due to a financial hardship has less income the next few weeks and they asked for some help to provide food for their visit. They asked if we could get a gift card to Wendy's to help out. The parent views having a meal together with their child as important bonding time. They have not asked for help prior to this and have always provided before.

I have a ct that is a single parent over her daughter right now with little help from her family and no help from her ex after he destroyed her house. She had gotten a lot of windows done with plexiglass but still need windows or plexiglass situation for windows in one bedroom (but 2 windows there) and the bathroom windows for privacy She has also repaired the door after the mental health issue with her husband but says know with the plexiglass that the frame in all messed up so the door wont shut all the way right and this is a safety issue right now for her and her daughter. Ct has been fixing all the other window out of her own pocket saving and buying windows for months now and its been hard. If she can get help with the last 3 total windows and the door and frame help with take a lot of stress of her and more time with her daughter. Since the door could be easily broken into she still fears ex husband could come into the house easily with not a secure door.

A 14 year old boy was recently placed with his grandmother. Grandmother was recently let go from her long term employment and has struggled to get past the second (in person) interview. She was not planning to retire for a few more years and has been living on her savings, but it was important to her that her grandson not be placed in foster care. Grandmother gardens and cans much of her own food and tries to be frugal, but this placement was not expected. Grandmother would appreciate assistance with groceries as feeding a teen age boy was not in her budget.

Foster placement has a youth in care who is wheelchair bound, visionally impaired and quadriplegic. Foster mom has difficulty transporting in and out on the home, due to the stairs leading up to her front door. Foster mom is in need of a portable ramp to make transporting youth in her wheelchair more accessible.

Single mother of two was recently laid off due to her not having childcare. The mother was taken five-year-old child to work with her to continue to make ends meet. She is a recent divorce, and former husband is not willing to help. Family is facing eviction June 25, 2025, if mother doesn’t pay pass due rent ($1,192) and late fees.

Family of four is facing eviction July 17, 2025. Family needs $7,000 to keep their family together and current home. Father recently laid off from work and is looking for long term employment. Father is a licensed painter and willing to work.

A young family of 2 children ages 1 and 7 years old are requesting a dryer as they moved into a house from an apartment. The couple have been here from Venezuela for about 2.5 years and help out at Centro Cristiano a Las Naciones with leading music. They moved from an apartment which had a washer and dryer and now they need to provide for their own. The father is looking for work and does odd jobs to help pay for rent, bills, food, clothing, etc. A dryer will help mom take care of her kids so that they will be able to attend school and help their hygiene. A single mother of 5 children missed quite some time from work due to unforeseen behavior issues with her 7-year-old son, who has since been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Due to these conditions, her son was not able to stay in school full days and she had to stop working for seven months until she was able to get him approved through his insurance for an in school one-on-one counselor, a smaller classroom setting and also a 504/IEP plan. Now that he has those, she has been able to get another job but won’t get paid until June 30th. She has fallen behind on her rent and several other bills. I am requesting help with the following bills: rent for May $833, she has worked out a payment plan with her landlord for the remaining balance if she can get May’s rent paid; light bill $274 and that is with an approval for cooling assistance from social services which starts on 6/15, her disconnect is for 6/16; water bill $54.37 which also has a disconnect for 6/16. I am also requesting assistance with food and gas money. Mom reached out to her social worker about all these requests, but worker was not able to process her snap application in time for her to receive benefits for June, so she won’t receive any snap benefits until July 4. She also needs money for gas to get to her job.
