I am reaching out on behalf of a family in urgent need of essential household items to help restore safety, comfort, and dignity in their daily lives. This family, which includes children 14 years old and 13 years old children, is currently transitioning out of a difficult living situation and working hard to rebuild a stable home environment. However, they are lacking some of the most basic necessities that many of us take for granted. We are requesting support to provide the following items:One mattress (twin)One bed frame A set of plastic clothing hangers Without a proper bed, restful sleep is difficult—especially for children who need it most for healthy growth and learning. A mattress and frame will give this family the chance to sleep safely and comfortably each night. In addition, clothing hangers may seem like a small item, but they help create order, maintain hygiene, and support the dignity of living in a home that feels organized and cared for. Every item provided will go directly to this family, making an immediate and tangible difference in their lives. This teen is African American and needs her hair to be braided at a salon. She is wearing a bonnet because she needs her hair done which is a vital part of her heritage and cultural expression. This teen's family is from Liberia and her aunt works at a salon and can do her hair tomorrow but it will cost $150. The foster home and bio mom need assistance in paying for her hair to be braided.

We are working with a family that consists of two adults, and three children(7, 5, and a 6 months old). This family continues to struggle with obtaining food. The mother is working on her TA case and is in the process of reapplying so she can get food stamps but there have been some barriers. This family also struggles with transportation and we have been working with them to try and set it up so they can utilize local food pantries but have not had luck recently. They are in need of food for the weekend and formula for their 6 month old(Similac Sensitive formula with iron). The family is also struggling with a lice infestation and are in need of lice treatment.

A young father with a new baby is in need of reliable transportation so he can get to work, school and his fatherhood coaching sessions. This young man is working very hard to provide for his family and attends his fatherhood sessions faithfully. We are hoping that someone has a reliable used vehicle they would be willing to donate to this family. His current vehicle has been deemed irreparable.

Single mother of two small children just completed her court ordered services and has had the children returned to her care after a lot of work on the mother's part. The mother obtained new housing and could use assistance obtaining a couch, washer and dryer for the home. The couch would allow for family bonding time in the living room and the washer and dryer so she can stay home with the children and provide clean clothing without having to haul two small children to the laundry mat in addition to all the clothes, and spend her limited income.

A family recently lost all their belongings in a tragic fire. They are a family of 8 with 4 adults & 4 kids (1 boy and 3 girls). Parents & grandparents lived in the home together. The kids attend Hahn Phan Tilley Elementary School in Fresno. Immediate items needed (New or Gently Used): Clothing, Bedding, air mattresses Toiletries, Tooth Brushes, Tooth Paste, Shampoo, Soap, Deodorant or anything else you think they may need. This family we have helped before. She was removed from an abusive home and moved into Covington with her children and has struggled to make ends meet. Her apartment is now asking her to leave, but she has secured a place in Clifton but needs help moving some things to her new place. She has 2 children and has a very hard medical diagnosis that has been keeping her bills high. She will need a truck or trailer to haul some things. I have this valued at $10 because it's not really a monetary need. She has also requested to have someone sit with her to help her work out her financial budget. She is really doing her hardest to take care of her family.

Single mother of two was recently laid off due to her not having childcare. The mother was taken five-year-old child to work with her to continue to make ends meet. She is a recent divorce, and former husband is not willing to help. Family is facing eviction June 25, 2025, if mother doesn’t pay pass due rent ($1,192) and late fees.
