I am working with a kinship provider caring for two beautiful siblings, both diagnosed with autism. Every day, they work to give them the opportunity to experience life as any child should — going to the park, visiting the grocery store, enjoying family outings, and simply being part of the world around them.

However, due to their disabilities, being out in public for extended periods can be incredibly challenging. Long walks, busy environments, and sensory overload can quickly become overwhelming. What many take for granted — a walk through the mall or a trip to the store — can be a monumental task for these children.

To help them thrive, we are seeking a special needs stroller for the 9-year-old. She is growing fast and needs a stroller designed to support children with disabilities, up to 110 lbs. These adaptive strollers are a lifeline — they provide comfort, safety, and mobility, enabling her to participate in daily life with dignity and joy.

An 18 year old foster youth in transition recently relocated from Aurora to Colorado Springs. The family the youth was living with in Aurora has their belonging in storage and has not made themselves available to get it out for the youth or the caseworker. The youth's vital documents, including their birth certificate and social security card, are in storage, which is impeding their ability to get an id card and secure employment. This request is for enough money to take an UBER from where they live (near Peterson SFB) to the Citizen Service Center, the DMV, and then back home to get a new birth certificate, State ID, and work on getting a new social security card.

Teen girl in foster care will be turning 18 and aging out this week on Wednesday! She is moving into a family members basement but needs her own furniture before she moves on Wednesday. She is hoping to get a full sized mattress, a simple dresser, and a mini fridge. Anything helps! Thanks!

I have three children (from Muskogee County) placed with a kinship home and they are in need of a bunkbed and 2 twin mattresses to have space for everyone to sleep comfortably and to preserve the placement. This is an important need as one of the children have been sleeping on the couch to accommodate everyone.

Teen girl who recently aged out of foster care and into a new home is needing help emptying a storage unit that was filled with family items after her dad passed away. She would like to empty the unit and move the things into her garage. If you can help her move some furniture and other heavy items on Thursday or Friday this week please let me know so I can get you connected! Thanks!

Glocal provides for the physical needs for a new baby to be welcomed through a baby shower. We are currently out of the baby bath sets that include baby shampoo, baby lotion and diaper cream. Many stores sell these as a set or we can use the individual items and gift them to these moms that are usually having their first baby in the US. so far this year, Glocal has given showers or made deliveries to over 40 moms and we have 5 coming up next week. this will support us through the end of the summer.

Lincoln Elementary is the host for summer school this year. Mission Point helps to sock their Giving Room and it's been a blessing to share some of our items with kids from all over Warsaw schools that are attending summer school. The closet is currently out of some items that they would like to send home with kids before summer school ends on Friday. It would be ideal if someone COULD provide these items and have them delivered or deliver them directly to Lincoln to make sure they arrive on time!

Mother and 4 children, (16 year old boy, 13 year old gird and 7 year old twins boy and girl) are living in a hotel room and in need of food as soon as possible.

Bio mom of 5 children just started new job after missing 7 months of work due to her young son's behavioral issues at school. He is now been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD and is receiving the help he needs. As a result of missing so much work, she is behind on some critical bills. She needs to pay $265 for a title loan on her car to prevent repossession. She also needs to pay the West End Center $280 for them to keep her kid for the summer so she can work. She is also requesting a Wal-Mart gift card to buy her kids swim trunks and shoes for their daycare as well as toiletry and household items needed.

One of our own church members who is elderly and disabled is seeking assistance with creating a new home in an apartment. She is needing some basic needs to furnish her home. Some people have already donated a couch, bed, dresser and blender. She is needing the following items: TV (24-32"), TV stand, dining room table and chairs, dinnerware set, vacuum cleaner, pots and pans, microwave oven, set of bathroom towels (bath, washcloth, hand towel), shower curtain, queen-sized bedding set, and kitchen towels. She will be moving to her new apartment later in June.

Gently used items are acceptable for the furniture, microwave and dishes.

UPDATE: Her favorite colors for her bedroom are earth tones and purples for the bathroom.
