This family has recently immigrated to the United States from Zambia where they were war refugees. They are in need of baby girl clothing size 6-9 months or larger. They are also in need of employment and have been applying to agencies and using the WorkForce Alliance to try and secure employment but with no luck. If there's someone in the community who speaks Swahili and could help make connections with them to get them employment that would be extremely helpful. They also don't have reliable transportation so if there's anyone in the community who can help transport them to doctor's appointments and etc. that speaks Swahili that would be helpful.

I am seeking support to help a family that has been living in a hotel since the summer of 2023. The mother is actively working to re-enter the workforce and is looking for remote job opportunities so she can remain close to her children during the summer months. However, she currently does not have access to a laptop, which is a critical barrier to securing remote employment.

PCS for People has offered a refurbished laptop for $150. I am requesting assistance to either help fund the $150 cost or to receive a donated, working laptop that can help this mother move forward.

Gaining stable income is essential for this family to work toward permanent housing. Any contribution—monetary or a donated laptop—would make a meaningful impact on their path toward financial stability and housing security.

A single mom of a toddler is in need of a full-size box spring for her bed, a toddler bed and mattress and a couch. She is in the process of getting her own place and will need these items once she moves. She is not picky about any of the items and is even ok with a futon instead of a couch. She does not make a lot of money and is currently saving up to move out and provide her daughter with a better living situation. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The paternal grandmother of the four kids has custody of them now due to their dad being incarcerated and the mother not being able to care for them. She is overwhelmed with managing the four children as well as two of her own older children live at home as well and her elderly mother. They have been struggling with lice for a long time and it seems that no matter how hard they try it never goes away due to difficulty treating all the children at the same time. There never seems to be enough time in the day and the kids don't enjoy having lice treatments. I'm hopeful that someone could take the children into a lice clinic to get professionally treated as she cannot afford it.

CDSS is working with a high needs 16 year old non verbal youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability, and his 13 year old sister. Their parent is a single mother in need a working washing machine- it does not need to be new. This parent has to do an excessive amount of laundry because of sons needs associated to accidents and behaviors. Also a gas card for assistance with transport for therapeutics services would be helpful for this family. Thank you for your consideration!

Newly arrived Special Immigrant Visa holder family of 7 who fled from Afghanistan (US allies) is needing a bunkbed for 4 daughters to settle into a single bedroom in their 2 BR-1BA apartment this week.

Unfortunately, due to limited space in bedroom (needing to fit 2 sets of bunk beds), twin bunk beds will fit better than full bunk beds, so probably not flexible on that aspect of this request.

Depending on the bunk bed frame that you donate, we may or may not need box springs, so I didn't add those explicitly to this request.

We have a youth accepted to Georgia Gwinnett College starting in August. She will definitely need a laptop for school. Although her tuition should be covered by the state through the Independent Living Program (ILP), she will be living on campus and will have to pay her own dorm fees, ($400 per month). She will have a job on campus to try to cover those fees, but is also working now trying to save up for a car. She would greatly appreciate any and all help you could provide to set her up well to succeed at school. Please join us in praying for this youth!

Backpacks & BBQ is an annual outreach event hosted by Middletown Nazarene Church that brings together our church, community, and local partners to support students and families preparing for the school year. We provide free backpacks, serve a full cookout-style meal, and offer a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children in need in our community.

Each summer, hundreds of neighbors come together at our church for this day of joy and generosity. Children leave ready to start school with confidence and dignity — and families leave knowing they are seen, supported, and loved.

As part of this event, we want to provide sanitary and hygiene products for the students, so they can go back to school with confidence.

We have a dear NKT family of 6 (mom, grandma, and 4 children) who do not have beds to sleep in nor living room furniture to sit on. We want to bless this family by outfitting their home with these furniture items. We will look for good quality, previously owned items on Facebook Marketplace.

*The twin beds and bedding are for boys, all under 12 years old. *The queen bedding is for grandma/mom. *If box springs are not available, we will purchase mattress/box spring hybrids.

A single mom going through a divorce is trying to become financially independent. She currently makes very little income, and needs assistance to help pay for gas so she can drive her children to school and different activities while she looks for work.
