Unemployed single mother, 5 children ages ranging from 4 months-18 years old is going through a financial hardship. Her EBT card was recently stolen and she is using the limited funds she has at the moment on groceries and other household necessities. The family's wifi is currently shut off in the home, and the family is in dire need of assistance with this bill. The children heavily rely on the wifi service in order to complete their school work. Anything that CP can provide would be very much appreciated.

Two caregivers took in a non-relative child, after already caring for 3 other non- relative children. They are in need of a twin size bed and accessories for the little girl that was just placed with them!

This family is seeking assistance with bedding, including mattress toppers, pillows, blankets, and sheets. This family has 3 young teenagers and two parents. The family is hardworking, with both parents and the oldest sibling working, and the family struggles to purchase extra things including bedding. These bedding supplies will help the family improve their sleep, which will boost their energy throughout the day, improve focus, and provide comfort. The family already has mattresses which have been donated to them, and are seeking some extra support. We are hoping for blankets/sheets that are lightweight and good for the summer, if possible. We are requesting a 24-inch bicycle with training wheels for a bright and resilient 7-year-old boy in foster care. He has been through a lot in his young life but continues to show a strong desire to learn and grow. This summer, he’s working hard to adjust to a new foster home and is eager to join his foster brothers in outdoor play and bike rides. Although he’s just learning to ride, he’s a quick learner and full of determination. A bike of his own would not only help him build confidence and coordination, but also allow him to feel included, supported, and free. Your support would mean the world to him during this important time of transition and growth.

He would love a bike in any “boy” color—he’s not picky and just excited about the chance to ride. Due to his history of head injuries, a properly fitting helmet is especially important. I’ll be visiting him today to measure his head to ensure he receives a helmet that fits safely and comfortably.

Providing this bike and helmet will not only support his physical development and coordination but also help him build confidence, joy, and connection in his new home.

A 14 year old boy is placed with his single aunt and her children. She lives on a limited income and is pursuing guardianship. The child has grown out of many of his clothes and is in need of some new clothing. He has very few clothes appropriate for the summer weather.

Hey team, we have a family in our church that serves as a foster family. The birth mom for the child is in need of a convertible car seat so they can have the child for visitation. This would meet a huge need for this mom and child and serve the foster family as well. If you happen to have one in good condition that you could give her that is great or here is an option if you would be available and willing to purchase one. A single mom with an 8-month-old is living with her mother and does not have a bed for herself. She needs a full or queen-size bed and bedding. A small floor fan (not a ceiling fan) is also needed for the bedroom. This mom is part of the Napier community that Harpeth Hills serves.

Newly arrived Special Immigrant Visa holder family of 7 who fled from Afghanistan (US allies) is needing a bunkbed for 4 daughters to settle into a single bedroom in their 2 BR-1BA apartment this week.

Unfortunately, due to limited space in bedroom (needing to fit 2 sets of bunk beds), twin bunk beds will fit better than full bunk beds, so probably not flexible on that aspect of this request.

Depending on the bunk bed frame that you donate, we may or may not need box springs, so I didn't add those explicitly to this request.

We have a youth accepted to Georgia Gwinnett College starting in August. She will definitely need a laptop for school. Although her tuition should be covered by the state through the Independent Living Program (ILP), she will be living on campus and will have to pay her own dorm fees, ($400 per month). She will have a job on campus to try to cover those fees, but is also working now trying to save up for a car. She would greatly appreciate any and all help you could provide to set her up well to succeed at school. Please join us in praying for this youth!

Backpacks & BBQ is an annual outreach event hosted by Middletown Nazarene Church that brings together our church, community, and local partners to support students and families preparing for the school year. We provide free backpacks, serve a full cookout-style meal, and offer a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children in need in our community.

Each summer, hundreds of neighbors come together at our church for this day of joy and generosity. Children leave ready to start school with confidence and dignity — and families leave knowing they are seen, supported, and loved.
