A) The mother of 5 kids was forced to leave all her things in the previous apartment out of fear of a neighbor that was violent. Mother was told not to return. Mother is a hard worker, who had to take a leave from her security to job to transition to her new home and care for her 5 children while she tries to replace all of her belongings. CSW observed her children to be well cared for and to have a strong family bond. Mother is resilient, caring for her children in spite of all obstacles, and this is the first time DCFS has been involved with their family. The family needs to replace almost everything. They found a stove at Walmart for 799$ (before taxes).

Hey team, we have a family in our church that serves as a foster family. The birth mom for the child is in need of a convertible car seat so they can have the child for visitation. This would meet a huge need for this mom and child and serve the foster family as well. If you happen to have one in good condition that you could give her that is great or here is an option if you would be available and willing to purchase one. Carroll County has two girls ages 12 and 13 to have their own bed in their relative placement. They are in need of a bunk bed and two twin mattress and the comforter sets for each bed. I have created a wish list so that this can directly ship to them. If you can assist please let me know.

I have a client with 2 teenage boys that need clothes. They have moved out of an animal hoarding situation and most of their clothes smell like cat urine. The boys could use a whole new wardrobe, but will be thrilled with anything they can get. Gently used items would be fantastic! Both boys endure quite a bit of bullying due to the odor and it would be GREAT for them to start a new school year with odor free clothing! Both boys are size 14/16 in tops and one boy wears a 16 slim in pants and the other boy wears a 16 regular in pants. They can both wear a men's small in tops as well.

We are requesting support for a teenage girl currently placed in a Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP). She is in need of a few essential items. Her shoes are very worn down and have holes in them. She has asked for a new pair of Crocs (Women’s size 9).

She is also in need of underwear and prefers Hanes Hipster Breathable Panties – Size Medium.

A gift card would be greatly appreciated and can be used by the Adoption Case Manager to purchase and deliver the items directly to her.

Hello, please help this family with transportation. This mother and father are struggling with their finances this month and do not have enough money for the bus to get them to and from their services. The father is currently employed by his father and going to technical school to help pay some of the bills and could use some support right now. We are asking you to please help by providing them with bus passes. They want to make sure they can attend every appointment no matter what time or location. This bus card would help make sure they can make it to visits and appointments for the remainder of the month. Thank you so much for your generosity and help in bringing this family closer to reunification.

A single mom with an 8-month-old is living with her mother and does not have a bed for herself. She needs a full or queen-size bed and bedding. A small floor fan (not a ceiling fan) is also needed for the bedroom. This mom is part of the Napier community that Harpeth Hills serves.

Newly arrived Special Immigrant Visa holder family of 7 who fled from Afghanistan (US allies) is needing a bunkbed for 4 daughters to settle into a single bedroom in their 2 BR-1BA apartment this week.

Unfortunately, due to limited space in bedroom (needing to fit 2 sets of bunk beds), twin bunk beds will fit better than full bunk beds, so probably not flexible on that aspect of this request.

Depending on the bunk bed frame that you donate, we may or may not need box springs, so I didn't add those explicitly to this request.

We have a youth accepted to Georgia Gwinnett College starting in August. She will definitely need a laptop for school. Although her tuition should be covered by the state through the Independent Living Program (ILP), she will be living on campus and will have to pay her own dorm fees, ($400 per month). She will have a job on campus to try to cover those fees, but is also working now trying to save up for a car. She would greatly appreciate any and all help you could provide to set her up well to succeed at school. Please join us in praying for this youth!

Backpacks & BBQ is an annual outreach event hosted by Middletown Nazarene Church that brings together our church, community, and local partners to support students and families preparing for the school year. We provide free backpacks, serve a full cookout-style meal, and offer a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children in need in our community.

Each summer, hundreds of neighbors come together at our church for this day of joy and generosity. Children leave ready to start school with confidence and dignity — and families leave knowing they are seen, supported, and loved.
