The participant and her family consist of parents and their 13 year old daughter. The family recently moved into their new unit and have been sleeping on the floor or on the couch of their apartment. They are are only receiving $650 in cash aid and her husband had to leave his job he had due to the move. The husband recently returned to school to achieve his GED and has been doing great and staying on task and focused, and has just started applying for jobs at nearby grocery stores. We would like to support this family's progress by assisting them in obtaining a bed for the daughter and a bed for the parents, with bed frames.

Two parents have recently move into a new home after not having a place of their own for several months. They are in need of assistance covering the deposit for their electric service at the new address. They were able to save for the deposit on the home itself, but now need $245 to start their electric service. With the new home, they will be able to begin overnight visits between them and their three children and start making quick progress towards reunification.

Help support a current foster home that has a baby who is crawling around. The placement has requested support for baby gates for an open room and the fire place in the home. They want to ensure that this child is able to move around the home safely and provide more security for the child. They will need one extended gate for the open space in the living room and two baby gates to have the fireplace enclosed and blocked off.

We have a single mother with 5 children, who's youngest two are twins. They are both set to start school in the 2025-26 school year. However, do to the moves she has had to make for their safety, she does not have the birth certificates for her twins. She is needing financial assistance to obtain those birth certificates to ensure they are able to attend a safe school with their siblings. The total for the birth certificates is $35. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The family who consists of a single-mother of 6 children. Mother is a former foster youth and has a total of 10 children. three of her other children are currently living with other family members. Fathers are not involved and do not contribute any child support to mother to assist her with the children’s needs. Mother has been financially providing on her own with public aid, but it is spread thin in these hard economic times. Mother is a hard worker and tries her best to provide the children with what she can. Mother and the children were homeless from November 2024- March 2025. This placed severe strain on the family and much of their belongings were either lost or the children outgrew their clothing over that period of time. Mother obtained housing, but a refrigerator was not part of the residence. The refrigerator would come in handy for this large family as mother would be able to purchase items that could go further throughout the week or longer if she was able to store them in the refrigerator/freezer. The family is in need of a full size refrigerator and clothing for the children. The children’s clothing sizes are listed below. Hey team, we have a family in our church that serves as a foster family. The birth mom for the child is in need of a convertible car seat so they can have the child for visitation. This would meet a huge need for this mom and child and serve the foster family as well. If you happen to have one in good condition that you could give her that is great or here is an option if you would be available and willing to purchase one. A single mom with an 8-month-old is living with her mother and does not have a bed for herself. She needs a full or queen-size bed and bedding. A small floor fan (not a ceiling fan) is also needed for the bedroom. This mom is part of the Napier community that Harpeth Hills serves.

Newly arrived Special Immigrant Visa holder family of 7 who fled from Afghanistan (US allies) is needing a bunkbed for 4 daughters to settle into a single bedroom in their 2 BR-1BA apartment this week.

Unfortunately, due to limited space in bedroom (needing to fit 2 sets of bunk beds), twin bunk beds will fit better than full bunk beds, so probably not flexible on that aspect of this request.

Depending on the bunk bed frame that you donate, we may or may not need box springs, so I didn't add those explicitly to this request.

We have a youth accepted to Georgia Gwinnett College starting in August. She will definitely need a laptop for school. Although her tuition should be covered by the state through the Independent Living Program (ILP), she will be living on campus and will have to pay her own dorm fees, ($400 per month). She will have a job on campus to try to cover those fees, but is also working now trying to save up for a car. She would greatly appreciate any and all help you could provide to set her up well to succeed at school. Please join us in praying for this youth!

Backpacks & BBQ is an annual outreach event hosted by Middletown Nazarene Church that brings together our church, community, and local partners to support students and families preparing for the school year. We provide free backpacks, serve a full cookout-style meal, and offer a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children in need in our community.

Each summer, hundreds of neighbors come together at our church for this day of joy and generosity. Children leave ready to start school with confidence and dignity — and families leave knowing they are seen, supported, and loved.
