This kiddo is a teen girl who is moving into a relative placement. She has almost everything she needs, but is missing the most important thing for a teenager...a bed! She has requested a queen size bed with a bedframe that does not require a box spring. She would love a neutral comforter set to be able to snuggle up with.

The Department is working with a family whose 8-month-old daughter is currently placed out of the home while they address the concerns which caused the case to open. The family is in need of size 6-12 month clothing for their daughter. These parents are engaged in all aspects of their case, having frequent, extended visits with their baby, and are eager to move their case forward. Any assistance with this need so that parents can continue to work towards reunification is greatly appreciated!

The client is in her mid-50s, and she is the sole caregiver for her 9yo grandson. Though she works full time, the family is quite limited in their finances. Recently, the client’s 18yo grandson also just moved in with her and his 9yo brother, before he goes off to boot camp in September. The landlord has agreed to allow her 18yo grandson to temporarily live there, so long as the client provides an additional $500/month towards rent. Though the client can afford this, it’s made the family’s finances that much tighter. As her 9yo grandson will be starting school again in a few weeks, the client is hoping to get some financial assistance to help with new clothes for her grandson. We’ve already made some requests to receive donated clothing for her grandson. However, her grandson is on the “huskier” side, which means it can be harder to get clothes for him through donation organizations. The client’s goal is to get her grandson some new clothes that he feels comfortable and confident in. The client is hoping to receive $250 in assistance via a Ross or JC Penny’s gift card or a shopping trip. The client has already expressed her gratitude for any and all assistance that can be provided.

A single father of an 11 month old daughter is in need of a phone card. His current minute card runs out in a few days, but he needs a new one to continue to be able to contact his family, medical and therapeutic providers, and everyone else involved in meeting his daughter's needs.

This is a big one but very necessary. Any amount you can donate helps! We have a former foster youth that was reunified with his family needing emergency surgery to remove his wisdom teeth. He is 19 and no longer qualifies for medicaid, but does not have the resources to cover this medically necessary procedure. Please consider funding any amount you can for this need. Thank you!

This mother and her children, 9 year old daughter and just turned 18 year old daughter, have been associated with WRPC for many years. She is leaving an unsafe situation due to the father's substance abuse and needs help to cover legal fees. Mom has obtained a restraining order and is working with the Branch House Family Justice Center. She has been advised by social services that Legal Aid is not the way to go because there is a waiting list and with a child involved it is more difficult for anyone to pick up the case. Any amount will help!

Single working mom with 3 kids ages 14, 10 and 3 1/2 years old is in desperate need of temporary assistance to prevent eviction. She has previously experienced homelessness with her three minor children and is fearful of this happening again just as she was able to begin to feel secure in her new place over the past 6 months. Through no fault of her own, there was a break in pay the first week in July causing her to fall behind. The leasing company is very strict and threatening to begin eviction process, even though she has said she will have the money by the last week of this month, they want it now! The total amount needed is $2,150. Please help keep this family together in their home. Because she is gainfully employed, she will not have any problems going forward. Mother had her items stolen, including her phone. She has been working hard to get back on her feet for the sake of her daughter. A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.
