A foster family is taking home a newborn from the hospital and are in need of ONE infant car seat. They need it first thing in the morning to take to the hospital so the child can pass the car seat test. The hospital is asking the car seat come with a base.

two young sisters, ages 6 and 12, were recently removed from their home due to unsafe conditions involving substance use and violence. The removal, though necessary for their safety, came at a heartbreaking cost: the loss of their home, their two baby siblings, and the only life they had ever known. With no immediate family able to take them in, the girls faced the strong possibility of being separated and placed in a shelter-separated from each other and remaining sense of security. DFPS reviewed history and reached out to their maternal great aunt, a young woman living in a modest one bedroom apartment. She had limited financial means and was just beginning her own life-Recently engaged and unprepared for this life-altering news. Still, without hesitation this aunt said yes. Though her home is small, she made space for the two girls. They arrived that night with only the clothes on their backs and a few small items. Since then, their aunt has done everything she can to meet their needs, despite the financial and emotional strain. Aunt reached out, asking if anyone can help her find a booster seat for the 6 year old-just one of many basic items they lacked. Aunts humble request reflect the many unseen needs that come with caring for children on short notice. Though the future is uncertain, her strength and compassion have already changed the girls lives. With support I can see this family has a chance to begin again-together.

Mother age 32 is requesting support to pay her rent. Mother stated that she has not been working enough hours to meet her monthly rent. Mother has been cooperating with the department and is close to having her children back in her home. Mother reports that she needs assistance in paying rent and can get back on her feet with support. Mother has worker very hard to obtain employment and a home for herself and her children.

Transitional age youth , who just graduated community college with a 4.0 and off to Northridge this fall. Youth has taught herself Canva and does alot of social media work for small organizations as income. Her computer has died and needs help with purchasing a new one. She is asking for help with gift cards to Best Buy, she can not afford a new one however, was hoping to purchase something refurbished.

This mom recently left her abusive partner. She is rebuilding her life with the help of her family members, but money is very tight right now. Her young son has autism and is non-verbal, and right now they are struggling with safe driving. Kiddo will unbuckle himself when driving in the car but is too big for a generic car seat. Mom is looking for a "special needs" car seat, but they are very expensive, and she can't currently afford one. Right now, she has to pull the car over every few minutes to re-buckle him into his seat on their way to school which takes time and is dangerous. It would greatly relieve a very specific stress while mom works to find supportive housing and re-settles into her new life. Below are links of car seats that would work for this family. Single mom with two children facing eviction if she doesn't get help with her rent. Children out of school, and challenges with child care, caused her to miss work. She only has half of her rent. She needs to help with $600 which is the the other half of the rent and late charges. The children will be going to summer camp in July allowing mom to get back to her normal working hours.

Hey team, we have a family in our church that serves as a foster family. The birth mom for the child is in need of a convertible car seat so they can have the child for visitation. This would meet a huge need for this mom and child and serve the foster family as well. If you happen to have one in good condition that you could give her that is great or here is an option if you would be available and willing to purchase one. A single mom with an 8-month-old is living with her mother and does not have a bed for herself. She needs a full or queen-size bed (frame, mattress, and box springs) plus bedding. A small floor fan (not a ceiling fan) is also needed for the bedroom. This mom is part of the Napier community that Harpeth Hills serves.

Newly arrived Special Immigrant Visa holder family of 7 who fled from Afghanistan (US allies) is needing a bunkbed for 4 daughters to settle into a single bedroom in their 2 BR-1BA apartment this week.

Unfortunately, due to limited space in bedroom (needing to fit 2 sets of bunk beds), twin bunk beds will fit better than full bunk beds, so probably not flexible on that aspect of this request.

Depending on the bunk bed frame that you donate, we may or may not need box springs, so I didn't add those explicitly to this request.

We have a youth accepted to Georgia Gwinnett College starting in August. She will definitely need a laptop for school. Although her tuition should be covered by the state through the Independent Living Program (ILP), she will be living on campus and will have to pay her own dorm fees, ($400 per month). She will have a job on campus to try to cover those fees, but is also working now trying to save up for a car. She would greatly appreciate any and all help you could provide to set her up well to succeed at school. Please join us in praying for this youth!
