Story
I have an adoptive single mother of two young girls, one of which is confirmed as special needs, who is having a hard time mentally and financially as she navigates her situation. This mother adopted her brother's biological children from birth, and has been taking good care of them without assistance until the last year and is now asking for help (a big step for her!). As the girls grow up, their needs change and mom is in need of community assistance to meet those needs as she works through her challenges. She has applied for food stamps/medicaid and unfortunately due to her children being adopted, it's taking more time than she can wait, among other barriers she is working through. At this point in time, mom has no income source.
This is the second part of requests for this family.
- Medication for the autistic daughter at the cost of $100 until medicaid resumes for healthcare coverage of daughter.
- Indoor trampoline (the small round one with a handrail made for toddlers) and other sensory activities/toys specific for autistic children.
If anyone has the ability to help with these needs, please consider doing so! Our goal is to get this mom through this rough episode of her life and keep her daughters with her!
